Hey guys quick question. Yesterday I purchased a 9800 GTX video card, but some reason it is not recognizing my monitor which is an Acer 22 ". It only recognizes the default (stock) video card. How can I make it to recognize it. I never had a problem like this before so this is new to me. My computer is a Gateway DX 4720. Also when i boot up my computer why doesn't is load automatically. I have to hit F10 then it loads so that also i needs to be fixed.

Do you have: nVidia Drivers (latest is 195.62 - though I personally found 190.38 to be more stable) nTues (System Tools) installed?

You're post was a bit confusing until I looked up your computer lol. It seems your system has integrated graphics, which you have to turn off in the bios when you're going to use a dedicated video card. Also, make sure your power supply is sufficient enough for a card like 9800GTX. Hope that helps.

Im currently reformatting my computer and installing windows updates so I will install the latest driver. You by chance know why I have to hit f10 to load windows. I never had this issue ever.

I have several questions: -What message does the f10 request give you? -Also, what PSU wattage do you have? Gateway is well known for using rather low-end PSUs that are lucky to give their rated output. -Finally, inside your BIOS (I don't know the key you have to press to enter the BIOS), there should be several options relating to the Onboard Video Chipset, or something silimar. If there are these options: Auto PCIe Off either of those options, select that one.

At the setup screen, during first few seconds after you turn on or restart your computer, press the delete button Or look at the setup screen(usually at the bottom I assume) to see what button to press to enter the bios. Just tap quickly or repeatedly until you enter the bios screen.

Check it to see if you lucked out: And: do you have a 6pin PCIe plugged in, or are you using an adaptor? Can you hear the windows startup music?

I have a Ultra 750watt Power supply which i installed last summer 09. When I hit F10 if gives me like 5 options. I hit the first option which then loads me the Vista OS. If I dont hit F10 it loads to Nvidia Boot Agent. any way to get rid of that.

The nVidia boot agent? Do you have: Boot LAN PXE enabled? nVidia driver CD in the drive?
