Hello All, I've heard a lot about these cards having issues and I recently won this card on Newegg Shuffle. Keep in mind this computer I just built 2 months ago and I was using my old videocard EVGA 1080 SC2.

Im getting a few b error codes (includes CPU/HDD/VGA) everytime I turn on my computer. My Asus Rog Maximum XII Formula is showing these b codes on display, but is not hindering or impacting any hardware. I've read quite of a bit on problems with FTW3 and I just can't figure out what's causing this problem.

I've recently updated by MB bios and I'm still getting these few shifting b errors, I also enabled XMP because my RAM wasn't running at its full speed.

What can I do to fix these from showing on display on my MB? Should I rma the card or send it back to Newegg for a replacement?

I wasn't having these problems up until I installed this videocard and drivers, but I uninstalled my old 1080 drivers seeing how they didn't have effect with the 3080

Here are some b codes it shows on my MB display.

CPU code 52, 69
VGA code 98, 84
HDD code A2, A0, FB, B1

These codes will either shift down or up till they stop, after all this, the word Formula would display and my computer will run with no problem.

CPU: Intel i9 10900k
GPU: EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra
MB: Asus Rog Maximus XII Formula Z490
PSU: Corsair 850 HX 80+ Platinum
Display: Asus XG279Q

first of all, did you go into the bios and reset to the default setting? every bios update should do default setting then save it and go back in the bios and do your overclock or before any change.
2nd, you don't need to worry about the code in cycles, only need to worry about the code stay on the last.
3rd, 3080 ftw3 has 3x PCI-E power plug, does any of those plugs have a red light on? if you got a red light on them check the connection of the plug/extension connection.

some board has a GPU led on the board, if that led light is on, means bad GPU as well. at your board has VGA led by the 24 pin power plug

@slaander: How would I go on saving these settings? I flashed the bios through the USB and holding the bios for a few secs. The whole procedure went through and there were about 3 restarts saying applying the bios update.

I also don't plan to OC or was OC to begin with, but when I turn on my comp I've noticed the red digi code is saying 40 when normally it says AO.

@EVGaTech_DanielM Yes everything was fine prior to me installing this videocard and uninstalling my old 1080 drivers and installing the new 3080 drivers.

There should be F5 to reset to default inside the bios? I forgot since I didn't use asus board for long time.
