Re: EVGA 30 Series Status and Queue Summary (North America) 2022/06/14 13:36:57 (permalink)
Folks who have EVGA Bucks from their Associate accounts have just under 90 days to either use them or cash them out for USD (2:1 ratio). There was some speculation that the September 13 deadline was somehow tied to a subsequent September 2022 release of the 40 Series. EVGA has represented that it is simply 90 days (i.e., a “reasonable time frame to dispose of the EVGA Bucks”) after the announcement of the Bucks program wind down on the 19th Anniversary of the program’s launch. 90 days seems reasonable and more than fair to me.

As much as I am excited for the 40 series, I am not sure I am ready to sign up for yet another round of seeking a supply constrained tech upgrade…the wounds from 2020-2022 are still too raw….

Best of luck today!

silver (rust) lining now is we'll likely see a recession by the time 40 series is here. so maybe less folks looking to buy new tech...maybe

Just got my notify for the 3080 I originally wanted... two years ago.

Hope this is still the place to report such a thing.

Yes it is. Thanks for reporting. I am away from the computer today (and poolside) but will put out an updated summary via the iPad later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Congrats on your 3885!

That is strange.  The other week, I reported 3885 as in stock.  But I have a new hypothesis.  If a card is "in stock" but has the yellow "sign-ups are closed" banner on it, it's not actually in stock.  The other cards that had an "sign-ups are closed" banner when they were in stock are the following:

Gaming:
3985 (3090 FTW3 Gaming)
3973 (3090 XC3 Gaming)

Hybrid:
3988 (3090 FTW3 Hybrid) (still in stock with the banner as of posting)
3898 (3080 FTW3 Hybrid)

Other:
3989 (3090 FTW3 HC) (which someone else says they didn't get their notify yet)
3881 (3080 XC3 Black)

I think there was at least another that noted they hadn't gotten that(3989) notify either. I'm not buying it even if the notify comes. And then I'm in the apparently dead 3090 ti hc queue. Still lists on my notify. I shall leave them as science experiments....for now. lol

Just double checked the notifies that they do still exist. If it ever does notify I'll let you know though.

Thanks in advance for letting us know when you get the notify!  So far, I have nothing to contradict my hypothesis.

If anyone wants to possibly spend $1920 (plus tax and shipping) on a 3988 (3090 FTW3 Hybrid), that would test my hypothesis.  I certainly wouldn't.  If there is an error before the card can get shipped, my hypothesis is confirmed.  If it gets shipped to your shipping address successfully, my hypothesis is contradicted.

I decided to add it to my cart and see if that makes an error, but it didn't.  At least it didn't involve spending any money.

BTW, I discovered waffle cone smores...I feel like this has been withheld from me for an unreasonable amount of time.  I will be surely testing the recipe this weekend.

Thanks for reporting! On my spreadsheet, I have "unhalted" 3885 and started keeping track of its movement again. By extension, the air-cooled Ultra category is also "unhalted". I suggest Enewt does the same with his updates.

Most likely, since we got one category per week finishing so far, and EVGA shown more interest in making higher-end cards in the 30 series (like Ultras).

Yes, and at least 11 EVGA 30 series cards came in stock for the first time before any K|NGP|N did, 8 of them beating it by about 4 weeks.

Re: EVGA Queue Summary 2022/06/21 12:22:03 (permalink)
ah...ok. So I just got an email about my 3895 notification (which I knew I didn't receive, even though my notifies page said I did):

"Now that EVGA has sufficient stock on 30 series at EVGA.com and at ETAIL/RETAIL partners, starting June 23th 2022, all pending queue notifies on EVGA PN: 10G-P5-3895-KR will be removed and the product will be made available for purchase as supply continues to arrive.

You can see all in-stock 30 Series availability at any time by visiting here. The EVGA Queue system will continue to be in place for high demand products.

You are receiving this message because you previously signed up for our notification queue on our US/Canada webstore to be notified when 10G-P5-3895-KR is available to purchase or for changes to its availability status."

So I'm curious...did all remaining queue position holders just get one of these emails? Is the queue over? or was it just 3895?

I did not, but it would be good to know who else got an email like that.  Both of my queues got notifies before they got to the "in stock" trend (starting March 2022).

Also, I am curious.  When did you sign up for your 3895-KR?

I just got two emails (one for each queue I was in).  However, neither of those cards have been in stock. Complete BS!

got an email too, it is hinting 24G-P5-4989-KR will be available with stock.   They are going to remove my query.

Right. So those of us who have waited patiently are being kicked to the curb to the general public can pick up these cards. Pretty BS that the cards wouldnt be offered to the queues first.

Re: EVGA Queue Summary 2022/06/21 13:20:44 (permalink)
I queued for 24G-P5-3989-KR (3090 FTW HC) as soon as the queue opened over a year ago. It's still out of stock, but I received the email today that they are canceling the queue.

I would understand if they have (or would imminently have) enough stock on these parts for everyone in the queue--although I'd wish they'd just email direct purchase links to everyone in that case. Otherwise, this is quite frustrating to say the least.

Got the same email for the 3885-KR - which is no longer even listed on the website.  Since I kept the queue entry "live" for sentimental reasons only, I'll just mark this as the end of an era.
I think it unlikely EVGA will do a queue again.

Absolutely, it’s a really crappy thing to do to us that have waited for over a year for this card. I really can’t believe that evga would do this.

Today it says US 10G-P5-3895-KR 10/23/2020 8:25:54 AM PT No True

What's interesting, is that 4 weeks ago (post #7874 in this same thread), when I looked at my notifies, it said US 10G-P5-3895-KR 10/23/2020 8:25:54 AM PT Yes True.

I told everybody that I didn't actually get my notification, and enewt still updated his table and everybody just assumed I missed the email.

I got the email today for the 10G-P5-3883-KR. Out of stock, but I don't care at this point. I'm gambling and waiting for the 40xx series. Maybe by the time they're released, any online stores with 30xx series stocks will start slashing prices to make room. If the 40xx series are not what I expected, I'll happily jump on a deeply discounted 3080, if any.

Re: EVGA Queue Summary 2022/06/21 13:39:50 (permalink)
To be fair, they've always had the ability to change the rules on the queue (hence 2.0, 2.1.6.2, 3.0, etc.) or abandon it altogether. They're at a point now where they've got a majority of skus in stock and they may not even ever make more of the ones that have never caught up. I don't think you could possibly expect them to satisfy everyone that signed up for every single queue no matter how long it took. The market moves on. 40-series is coming. You can buy a different card anytime you want now.
