Was looking at cards on Ebay and I had a thought, couldn't someone just register all the cards the sellers don't hide the serial numbers on the box for and screw whoever buys it?

They can try but so far as I know you also have to provide proof of purchase via an online or physical receipt, after that EVGA then verifies your purchase with the selling company on the receipt (I.E. In short if you got it second hand from a reselling site like Ebay instead of new from a name retailer it doesn't count. Unfortunately, this isn't really the case. I've seen people do exactly this for elite wheel spins. Last time I checked you weren't required to upload an invoice during registration, and one of the bigger obstacles was creating new email addresses for the new accounts. Hopefully I'm wrong and EVGA fixed it since then, but I'm not optimistic.

Thanks for the swift reply. Yeah I don't usually step outside my gaming comfort zone unless a bunch of people I know are playing, like with dead by daylight for example. I was never as big on it as my younger brother (as much as I LOVE horror games!) but if a bunch of us were playing I'd join in and have fun. I've seen stuff for Bloodhunt but I'm truly looking forward to bloodlines 2 especially considering the stuff they've shown so far, that and I'm a long standing fan of the first VTMB, played the hell out of that when it first came out. I will say it was much better with the unofficial patches though lol. As for compounding on what I said about FPS games, I don't HATE them just really need to be invested, like for instance if I had the time (or money at the moment) I'd probably give the last couple Doom installments a shot but sadly they remain on my bucket list for the time being. ANYWAYS I will definitely take your words to heart and simply have fun with what I'm getting instead of subjugating myself to another lengthy queue. Sorry for jawing your ear off there Enewt, hopefully like your tail it simply grows back ;) In the mean time I will await you among the others in gaming Valhalla, I hope to see you and our other warriors of the queues there very soon!

Thanks for the response. I grew up on Doom, Quake, Hexen, etc...from Id. As well as Civilization. And many other genres (about the only thing that never worked at my pond was fighting games...not sure why...but, yeah, hard bounce). This is pretty nuts.. signed up for the 3888 2 hours after it went on sale and still a year later it's only moved an hour.. I can't imagine the amount of people who are in the queue is over a few thousand, makes me wonder how many cards they're actually moving, a dozen a week?

Unfortunately all the 3080s were hit hard on release day, as well as every other card. I think you are a little off about the number in that queue. The first hour alone was probably in excess of, conservatively, 20,000+. Hopefully you got in other queues also. Eventually, the shortage will get better.

Well, hello there! :D Used your code, newt! Feels like the sucker went up in price again though. Bummer. Been waiting a year at this point, so I guess I'll take it, but still a bit annoying how much over MSRP it is 10G-P5-3897-KL -- 10/6/2020 3:12:12 PM PT -- Yes Edit: guess after the code it's only $80 up from the original MSRP of $809.99. EVGA raised prices on a few categories of products almost a month ago (between $10 and $20, depending on the product category)...EVGA stated that the cause was increased shipping costs. Securing shipping right now is crazy expensive...assuming you can even find an available container.
