Thanks for the info, I don't use twitter, so any info is great.

On or about 6 am today, EVGA turned on the product pages for the 3050s (3050 XC Gaming and 3050 XC Black) but as of 6:05 am had not yet turned on the auto-notify button for the 3551 (the 3553 turned on around 6:05 am) allowing Elite members to register for the queues. EVGA need to amass a sufficient number of registrations before they can start determining ranks within each EVGA Score tier, so it would not surprise me if the invite to purchase emails that EVGA typically sends out to those at the very start of the queue on its card's launch day are delayed a bit compared to what we experienced for Queue 1.0 and Queue 2.0...perhaps as short as just a few hours (to, say 12 noon) to as long as a day or two. Given that the registration timestamp is a "tie breaker", EVGA may hold off sending out the first invites until after both the Elites and non-Elites have had a chance to register...as Elite status affects the timestamp registration timeline and not EVGA Score. EVGA could have done a better job of describing the launch cadence.... 
  
For those that love queues and have already registered for the Steam Deck, those lines will apparently start receiving drops on February 25...each recipient will get three days to pull the trigger before the unit is offered to the next in line.
  
In yesterday's intros, I alluded to Mrs. enewt having to go to the emergency room. She had suffered a minor accident just after midnight and her injury required attention. I had offered my sage spousal counsel that it would be wise to let me treat her injury at home. And I vehemently protested when she wisely declined and drove herself to the emergency room (while I stayed home with jr.). In retelling her story of her ER experience over dinner last night, she mentioned that she had apologized to the doctor for wasting his time with such a small injury in the midst of the covid chaos and had almost decided to return home when she reached the waiting room. According to my beloved storyteller, the doctor responded, "It was wise of you to have stayed...had you gone home, you would have needed to return...your wound required a minor procedure." It had been a long day of work and, without thinking and still in protest mode, I responded: "minor procedure...that's my middle name."  (Narrator: mistakes were made.)

Long time lurker here, I just want to thank enewt for all his community contribution as I read your updates almost everyday. Also, I was able to enter the 3050XC queue at around 6:05am, but my score is fairly low so not sure if I’ll be called anytime soon.

Thanks for the kind words.  Don't lose hope...if you have yet to secure a 30 series card from the queues, you have a decent shot at getting one through this process.

So this new queue system just incapacitates the concept of 'first come first serve'? Well that even takes away the false hope of being in the line I guess. I won't know where I am on the list anymore :/

Fun, isn't it. We will hopefully still get some reports from community members when they get their invite to purchase emails (hopefully they will include their EVGA score and the binary yes/no of whether they had previously purchase a 30 series card from the 30 series queues).  That will give us some idea of what's happening, but it won't be as accurate was Queue 2.0 or 1.0 reporting.
