Does the black PCIe x1 port closest to the CPU use the X58 IOH hub or does it use the ICH10 hub?

X58 IOH and it doesn't interact with the x16 slots.

It's good for a NEC usb 3/3.1 card.  Doesn't fit much else.

So you are saying that the PCIe x1 slot works through the IOH hub.  Is that correct?  Judging by this diagrams it looks like it's the ICH hub but I don't know if EVGA implemented something different. From the diagram it looks like only 32 lanes are dedicated to the X58 IOH hub and with the E760 A1 it looks like all of those lanes are used up by the 4 PCIe 2.0 slots.  It doesn't make much sense for the x1 slot to go directly to the ICH hub then back to the IOH hub in terms of the position of the x1 slot.

Can anyone else answer this, please?  Thanks

That's the detected architecture on the latest linux kernel(4.5.0-rc3).  If you wanted a pretty picture that was wrong, I could have posted that instead.

So then the effects of the QPI speed has no effect on the port, right?  Or am I wrong?
