Good afternoon. I wish to build a computer from assorted old parts, but I need a new power supply unit. I would like to know if the EVGA BA Series 500W PSU (100-BA-0500-K1) will be adequate for my build.
Here is the hardware I plan to assemble:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H 1.0 LGA 1150 Intel Z87
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150
GPU: AMD Radeon 7800 Series
Storage/OS drive: Crucial M500 120GB SATA 2.5" 7mm
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
I understand this machine will have very little storage capacity; I do not need more than 120GB for this build. Will the 100-BA-0500-K1 work well for this setup? A quick response would be greatly appreciated because I wish to purchase a PSU today. Thank you.

Use the OuterVision Power Supply Calculator to see the recommended PSU wattage for your build..There's also the EVGA Power Meter, but the OuterVision Calculator is better/more detailed.

* Corsair Obsidian 450D Mid-Tower - Airflow Edition * ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC) * Intel i7-8700K @ 5.0 GHz * 16GB G.SKILL Trident Z 4133MHz * Sabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 SSD * WD Black 500 GB HDD * Seasonic M12 II 750W * Corsair H115i Elite Capellix 280mm * EVGA GTX 760 SC * Win7 Home/Win10 Home *

Trully awesome psu, EVGA is synonim of quality, really... i've had a 500w evga psu for about 5 years now, and it never gave me any trouble of any sort... it was a really good buy back then... nowadays i need to update it cause i want to get a bigger cpu and gpu... but i know that even if i cant, this psu will keep giving me top performance even if its not a gold or platinum certified psu. And answering to your question, i think it will run no problem... though older hardware used to consume more power than nowadays, so maybe be sure and check the power consumption of your setup with the calculator like bob said. Hope you find this helpful...
