Trying to overclock the 1080ti sc2 hybrid..

My question will be

1. Does Precision x1 uses nvidia oc scanner api for the VF curve tool just like what MSI afterburner uses?

2. My card has the ICX sensors... Is it ok for me to use MSI afterburner and its auto OC tool?

You can use afterburner or px1 either one you want because the gpu boost is going to determine what happens with the card anyways however since you have the icx sensors only px1 is going to allow you to monitor the temps and give you control of the fans separately. PX1 is designed to allow the multiple fans to speed up or slow down as each one needs to depending on the temp of that particular part being cooled.

Thanks for your reply! May I check if the VF tool uses the nvidia scanner API? which is the same as MSI afterburner?

Another I have will be regarding the voltage controls?

    1. Is it safe to maxed out the voltage slider when using the GPU for normal task (ie gaming... etc)?

    2. Do i need to maxed out the voltage slider and power to 120% when running the VF tool?

When running the tuner the gpu should be in default settings thats how it will determine the base line for your card. The curve tuner is pretty much the same whether it be the nvidia, px1, afterburner, asus tweak, or whichever is being used to my knowledge.
