I want to get a 4K monitor/TV to connect to my PC but not sure if my card will support the resolution. Will it be able to run my desktop at 4K at 60Hz? I would like more screen real-estate.
I have the 2GB SC edition. I know I cant game in 4K..

Thanks

Are you wanting to game on it, or just browse and edit pictures and such?

Max resolution is 4096x2160, which is one of the many 4k resolutions, lol.

We have an FAQ with the supported resolutions and refresh rates for the 600, 700 and 900 series of cards.

    DVI Dual Link
    2560x1600@ 60Hz
    2560x1440@ 60Hz
    1920x1200@ 120Hz*
    1920x1080@ 144Hz*

    HDMI
    4096x2160@ 24Hz
    3840x2160@ 30Hz
    2560x1600@ 60Hz
    2560x1440@ 60Hz
    1920x1200@ 60Hz
    1920x1080@ 60Hz

    DisplayPort
    3840x2160@ 60Hz
    2560x1600@ 60Hz
    2560x1440@ 60Hz
    1920x1200@ 120Hz
    1920x1080@ 120Hz

    *1920x1200 and 1920x1080@ 60Hz only require DVI-Single Link cables.
The Geforce 900 series has HDMI 2.0 which supports 3840x2160@ 60Hz. Both DVI and Displayport remain the same.

If you're only going to play back videos and such then you should be fine but for gaming it's not a strong enough card.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Yes, but you have to use Display Port to do it. It's not guaranteed on HDMI, but you should be able to with HDMI 2.0. Nvidia didn't officially support HDMI 2.0 until the GTX 900 series. So you might not be able to get 60Hz on HDMI... They claim HDMI 1.4 or newer can do it, but I have never tried it.

Just set the in game settings to 1080 when you game, and it should be fine then :-)
