I have a 1080 Ti FTW3 DT
I know that with a firmware update, it supports Display Port version 1.4.  The FTW3s may have supported DP 1.4 the whole time (I'm not sure) but either way, it's supported now.
I think Nvidia didn't require the 10 series cards to support Display Stream Compression (DSC) with the DP 1.4 standard (20 series were).  From what I've read, some cards had DSC support and did some didn't.  Some only had DP 1.3, some had 1.4 but no DSC.  I think the FTW and FTW2 were "DP 1.4 Ready".

What I can't find is: Does my, fully updated, 1080 Ti FTW3 support DP 1.4 WITH DSC.  If it does, which port (if not all of them)?

I ask b/c I'm planning on buying the monitor.  My 1080 will run it at 120hz just fine but will not support 240 hz without DSC.  I'm planning on buying the 40 series cards when they come out, so I won't be upgrading my 1080 at this point.  I'll probably buy the monitor either way but I wanted to know what to expect before it arrived.

Side note: I'm sorry if this questions has already been answered.  The "Search this forum" line don't seem to work.  It shows zero results even for "1080".

No 10xx series cards support DSC. That's the short of it.

DSC is an optional addition to DP1.4 and requires the encoder (usually on the GPU die itself) to have that functionality. The 10xx series does not have this.
