I think this is the first time in as long as I can remember this is all we got and that's it for as long as this has been happening , nothing on the horizon to maybe 2025 Q1 for a 50 series something , but what might that be with the US trying to Ban exports of Nvidia's 102 chips to China . DDR 5 is a fn mess with the 13/14th gen IMC , when are we going to get what we pay for , They have put normies out of the system . XMP and QVL are just imaginary #s. I have never before seen this ... WTH....is going on , and are we going to get anything back of normalcy.

I think it is fine. People can finally stop worrying about what else they could have.

Personally I see the SUPER series launching in Q1 2024 as a stop gap measure until 2025 when new gen GPUs will be released. NVIDIA is going to try to ship the 4090 D series to China but I think the US government will put a stop to that. NVIDIA needs to make more RTX 4090 GPUs to help lower prices for the consumer.

Nvidia's pricing policy is a mess right now. But they are practically unrivaled. They can decide when they release a new series of cards. Currently, they make a lot of profit with AI cards. In four weeks, Nvidia will announce the release of the SUPER series, and maybe then they will have a more conservative pricing policy.

It is what it is, sadly no matter how much we complain EVGA is done. We will not see much in terms of innovation the competitors don't have to compete as hard now in both a gpu product and customer service. My 4090 is doing amazing at its stock out of the box so really cannot complain, not EVGA like I wanted but oh well not much can be done.
Just sucks for those who waited for a TI, thought prices would drop. Nvidia with their rather large AI gpu order none of that came to be. Things will be like this for another year. I am thankful I get a whole two years on my 4090 until something better comes out. No one year or less of ownership and its EOL.

I ditched Intel after my i9 10940X. Both the 5800X3D and 7800X3D (Asrock X670E Steel Legend) are rock solid with my memory choices. Heck, I wasn't expecting the 6400 96GB kit (on the QVL) to work without messing with it for the 7800X3D, but it works great with XMP settings and even better with Buildzoids AMD 7000 Hynix M-die settings. I am wondering what Nvidia and AMD are going to do for their next gen GPUs. Rumor mill has it that top end won't really be a thing.

Nvidia pretty much doubled raster performance from the 3090Ti to the 4090. Not surprised that the 50x0 series will not come until 2025. Not surprised there won't be a 4090Ti. Nvidia does not need to do anything on the gaming GPU side and is concentrating their efforts to the AI chip side where the money is right now. I suspect the 50x0 series will focus more on Tensor & RT core performance because I am not sure Nvidia will be able to push the raster performance much more, their chips are already huge & ridiculously power hungry at 5nm.

I appreciate the money I'm saving but I am probaly going to have to perform loop maintenance this year , something I've never done before because I would just use the upgrade cycle to rebuild it.

What is loop maintenance? I use a high quality coolant, have clear tops and can see that nothing bad is happening in my blocks, and just change the coolant once every 2 years per coolant manufacturer's guidance. Whatever you do, don't use flushing additives, cleaning additives, vinegar, or anything like that. Just change the coolant and be happy that your quality coolant protected your blocks' plating. Cleaning regimens usually damage the plating, and then it snowballs.

Thank you for the tips, i was hoping this was the case , I am a year in on this build and temps are the same as when I started , Its good EK clear fluid and my GPU blocks are clear and showing no signs of contamination, CPU blocks are solid copper but the temps have not changed so I figure they are fine.

i tried the distilled water/additive/ph testing nonsense and it is a waste in every respect. koolance 702 is great and completely hands off except periodically changing it and rebleeding. no discoloration, no algae, no sediment its expensive vs distilled water but what is the price of your time to break down a loop, clean components and rebuild?
