My first real gaming rig since owning a AMD 1600+ unlocked with pencil trick. With the i7, I'm never going back to AMD. Sorry!

Initial build using borrowed Kingston's.

Installed properly with Mushkin's.

Nothing too fancy, but still a worthy opponent!

LOL.  Love the name!  Very clean and well planned.  Congratulations!  I'm sure you already see a huge difference from that old AMD rig.  What a leap forward for ya.

Thank you very much! Actually that old AMD rig failed on me years ago, was running on a core duo T7300 laptop. Night and day difference!

    Ha I was a AMD/asus guy too. Then I got a I7...
    Never looking back.
    Ever.
(but in all fairness the AMD dual core Athlons 4600+ and higher were king for almost two years before the intel core duo came out.)

    Great Build!

Here's an example of how big this beast is. Sorry for the crappy photo.
I'm going to be replacing the fans with two San Ace's in push/pull, plus shroud in the middle. Just waiting for Noctua to send me the extra set of pegs and pads.

I know I said I was never looking back at AMD.

But all this crazy talk about AMD and ATI has got me hooked.
I started a micro AMD build!

    SO...
... if it turns out to be trash I am going to mail you the bill.

yes! The hyper x were too tall. The only way the D14 fit was vertically.

it wasn't the fans that were the issue..it was the heatsink it self...wasn't clearing the hyperx fins.
