Christus Hey! I liked your Project G34 too. Always had an eye on that. 1200 Euros per CPU is really quite expensive. I wanted to have that case too because of heatzones. But on the other hand always I felt quite comfortabel with my PC-A7010. And the Tyr Cases aren't that cheap I think I saw a case similar to the LianLi PC-A7010 on some of your pictures too? Well I am using the PC-A7010 Black with my main system at this very moment, you can see it on my MODS RIGS Page Great case indeed, main system is also my Workstation, it has Dual 6 Core OpteronDP 2435 D0 Istanbul Server CPU's 12x 2.6Ghz, 4x 4GB PC2-6400 ECC Reg Kingston Server Ram on a Supermicro H8DAE-2, it also supports the Opteron 2439 Sun Edition CPU< only these have a much higher TDP over the 2435 and that for 200Mhz more per core, it wasn't worth it, and they were like 300 EUR a piece which is still cheap but I got the 2435's new from old stock for 235 EUR incl shipping for the two! so yer the 2435's were the obvious move for this setup. CPU's hardly get hot max reach Load temp I got was 37C which is a joke compared to them desktop setups, my CPU's have an average TDP of 75 Watts per CPU and a max TDP of 115 Watts per CPU. Overall it's more powerful than any i7 for it's time which is 2009 and even today it still packs a wallop in SMP applications, like Real Time Flight & Ship Simulations, it's GTX 295 Red Editions will be replaced with a pair of EVGA GTX 580 3GB's one day though, once they are cheap for pickings.

Oh well so far so good anyways, Next week Tuesday I''ll be leaving ion a 6 week vacation then when I get back this system shall give you guy the showdown you all have been waiting for As promised this system will be completed you all have my word! Just I wish my vacation was sometime later so I could finish the build first, oh well can't have everything I guess

Hey all :) Sorry for the delays but one of three EVGA GTX 680 SC Signature Edition 2GB's arrived yesterday here the pics: Tomorrow I will make more pics of the card with it's backplate mounted The GK104 is very interesting it looks as if it's rectangular than square, as what I could tell from the rear view of the PCB the card reads that this is a Rev.A2 1213 Year 2012 week 13, pretty new me thinks

Hehee yeah this is only one of three rofl, As for the Dual OpteronDP 2435 D0 It might be getting these 680 SC Sig's also they are so well designed , to clean them is very simple just remove the 6 screws in the side of the cooler shroud on the sides and the two in the retention plate and hay you pop open the lid and you can clean her up xDDDDDD Simple plain and to the point , I kinda love that And oh I just bought one of these again for the 3rd EVGA GTX 680 SC Signature 2GB http://eu.evga.com/produc...%20Hardware&uc=EUR They are in stock now, so I bought it now just to avoid out of stock situations

Okay as promissed here come the [ics of my EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SuperClocked Signature Edition PCI-E 2048MB 256Bit GDDR5 Rev.A2 1213 [Year 2012 / Week 13] After opening the box this is what you pull out of it A very neat and well packed package, sorry for the dark image, at least the rest worked out perfectly This is what you get in total and I have to note that this poster looks way better than the boring one that came with the GTX 480 & GTX 580 VGA cards, so Kudos to EVGA for adding this much better one, thanks! Here the VGA card and the cables neatly tucked up :) Here the VGA card and the power cables + DVI-I to VGA dongle: Kinto Favorite Spinosaurus agypticus Scale 1:40 Resin compared to the EVGA GeFoce GTX 680 SuperClocked Signature Edition PCI-E 2048MB 256Bit GDDR5 Rev.A2 1213 Scale 1:1 VGA card, both are monsters and the best performing of their time: These two fit the image just perfect the GTX 680 SCS like the Spino are both the best performing monsters of their time, talking about raw power similarities here: Headshot of both beasts, both Spinosaurus agypticus & Graphics Kepler 104 pictured here with their brutal heads Here a nice side angled front view of the EVGA GTX 680 SCS 2GB: Here a nice side angled rear view of the EVGA GTX 680 SCS 2GB :) Also showing it's SLI connectors, these have never changed since the GeForce 8800 GTX / Ultra: Headshot of the EVGA GTX 680 SCS 2GB This picture shows you all the details for it's connectors lift to right: Display Port, HDMI, DVI-I and above that DVI-D This is no regular GTX 680, EVGA gave this card 1x 8pins +1x 6pins PEG power connectors so you can feed this beast MOAR powah xD Handy for them Overclockers for me it's all about stability and such changes are always welcome! What that odd chip is I have no idea, never seen such a part on a VGA card before, looks interesting though. If anyone could explain that would be of great honor Well that's it for now, next upcoming pics will be of the system getting built, I just wanted to make a special shootout of the VGA card since Kepler has proven me a lot of hardware goodness and it's quite special looking as that odd chip goes the layout of the in/outputs and the very sleek design of the cooler which EVGA did an outstanding job of, the aluminum strokes on it make this VAG card really stand out to it's name and qualities. Two of more of these EVGA GTX 680 SCS 2GB's cards are planned, at least you can all have a good look at this monster, like Spinosaurus agypticus it's the most powerful of it's time, as types go

Well Got somewhere today thanks to my friend nicknamed DeathKnight, this is the progress so far: Here a closeup of the CPU cooler and the GTX 680 SCS with the Forte 7.1 under it: All I have to do now is the PSU cables, what is needed and what isn't I leave not connected, the lighting I do last, the BR Rewriter, the SSD and a recheck if everything else is connected properly. All that tomorrow anyways just wanted to show you guys that there is progress on this behemoth, just never knew it eats that much life outa me, really got tired after all this heh, which kinda seems that my condition, due to my chronicle immune illness, has deteriorated greatly. Anyways tomorrow I'll make more pics as I move along slowly with this thing

Thanks, only I wish I felt more positive about this all But I have to to admit the case is a true PITA ..... the way Lian Li gave such limited ways to place large PSU's like the Strider 1500 is pathetic, it's one big stress bomb to me, literally All I can advise is for people that like the Tyr is to really think what you plan on building in it, case is nice but it has many negs., I should of gone for the PC-A7110 Black instead. I even had bad thoughts that if this thing won't work as supposed to, I even had plans of getting rid of it, it seems building PC's isn't as fun as it used to be sadly, the amounts of stress I am getting atm is way too high for my doings. You can't even remove the IO bay where the DVD drives go, I am like how the hell am I supposed to get the PSU in there with all the cables arrgghhhhh Just idiotic to be true It's a curse I guess, I hate making wrong choices, but anyways I'll do my best to what I can get this thing to be what it's supposed to be, but so far I am not satisfied, disappointed face I hate having negative feelings like this, just all the money that has gone in to it, I used to think different of such things, oh well, sorry for this negative post

Construction Complete!!!! Here the side view :) The real Dacentrurus in the front with the Gold plated Audio cables for the Auzentech Forte 7.1 xD This Dacentrurus is a Scale 1:40 desktop model from CollectA And here from a front angled view: Finally it's done, I can't believe it myself haha, took me two days + help of a good friend to build this one, anyways I did take a lot of rest breaks, just due to the stress this build gave me during the entire process, as the case goes, well it's something you'd not want to buy if you are seeking a good large case for an easy build, this was by far one of the most complicated cases I worked with, just a reminder for those that might take on the Tyr themselves. The four negatives I give this case are the following: 1. The IO Bay can't be removed, even if you remove it's two screws that hold it's vertical beams to place, you can't remove the other two from the top side, the rest is all pop riveted, this is design flaw number 1 2. The roof of the case can't be removed this is also pop riveted, a major pain because with 9 of the 10 Lian li cases you can remove this part also to make them hard to reach places less harder to reach, with the Tyr Lian forgot this feature, so this is design flaw number 2. 3. This empty space above the PSU: It's nice to see an empty space but with long PSU's like the Silver Stone Strider 1500W it's useless, this is called wasted space, hereby Lian Li made the Tyr PC-X2000B too short, if you have along PSU this is probably not the case for you, unless you find a way to make it useful to some point as I did. It would of been nice if the Tyr was a tad longer so that space would of been made useful, this is a 500 Euro case you are looking at, it's aimed for the high end market, if that is so, they should of made it useful for all types of PSU's and made that space useful to tuck away your cables, so everyone meet design flaw number 3. 4. The power led connector only has a 3pinned connector, my friend DeathKnight had to mod this to make it into a 2pinned connector, we had to cut a 2 pinned connector from an older case and solder this to the power switch wire of the Tyr PC-X2000B, so it would of been nice if Lian Li added a 2 pinned connector for this wire too, come on I have paid 500 EUR for it and even such details should be perfect imo, so this is design flaw number 4. But that is about it, the Tyr isn't easy to work with, but there are ways of making it work out, only if you really want it to. Anyways 4 negatives for a beautiful design case, I did want to post these so people here are notified, sorry for the late edit, but this is needed, since this case isn't pleasant to work with, thanks for reading!

Yeah that is the idea, I thought about doing 3-Way SLI, but 2-Way SLI is fine for my needs, it saves me moenyzz tooz, and I'll use that money for HDD"s I think WD's 2TB Raid Edition 5 series at the least, four of these should do fine for a sweet Raid 5 array Then I wait for the 8 Core Ivy Bridge E CPU's to arrive for a CPU upgrade

Well it seems I will have to sell the Strider 1500, it keeps blowing the power plugs of my apartment, sad face. I find it highly unreliable then; well for my situation. It seems I will seek a smaller PSU just like the Antrec Quattro 1000 I use in the Dual OpteronDP 2435 D0, So I will have to sell it or trade it with someone that can use it, sigh

That sucks, sorry to hear. I have the same PSU in my SR-2. I don't blow breakers, but when I had 2 470's oc'ed with a 460 in there with the E5620's oc'ed I had random shutdown issues with mine. Only when CPU's and GPU's were under full load. Figured that one of the 460's PCI-E connector was connected to the CPU rail. Tried balancing the load differently and it didn't help either. Bit of a bummer for such an awesome PSU.
