I'm not sure if this is the right place on this forum to post this, but I had a question about the Corsair Memory I have. I got the RGB RAM....because "pretty lights",.....but I don't have any controller to play with the settings. The thing is,...it's the only Corsair product I have...and I know that iCue is what would be used to control Corsair products. My motherboard lights are controlled and dimmed [except for the 9 tiny white LEDs...which apparently can't be dimmed], and my fans are Lian Li, and are controlled by Lian Li software. I like the RGB fans and lights, but I like having them dimmed to around 25%...and if I can do that with the RAM sticks, it would make the experience so much better. Anyone have any advice? This was my very first PC build, BTW. Yes,...a VERY ambitious undertaking for a first build.

No controller is needed for light control of the ram using icue software. If you swap out your fans to corsair and add lighting you will need a controller or two.

If you have Corsair RGB memory and you wish to change the color and patterns you need Corsair iCUE software.

The iCue software would allow you to make the change without needing anything else but it doesn't seem that easy to dim the lighting as the scenes are all set to 100%. By using a custom static color I was able to dim the lighting and it seems like I could have done a series of multiple colors if I wanted all that would be dimmed but each color would have to be individually set. I was kind of surprised that they don't have an dim setting and now that I think of it a setting to change color for a time of the day would be great like a at 9PM to 8AM turn off the RGB would be a really nice feature in the software for people who sleep in the same room as the PC.

I figured I would have to get iCue, but as long as it doesn't mess up or interfere with my other RGB control software. Shouldn't, though, I guess. I downloaded something iCue the other day but it had no option for controlling the RGB RAM. No idea what I got. I ended up uninstalling it. Not sure what I need. As for getting Corsair fans, I've seen them. I like the Lian Li fans much more...and cable management is cleaner. But it's subjective really. Thanks guys.

I installed iCue after buying a Corsair keyboard. A couple months later I uninstalled it after seeing that it was using a constant 5% cpu all by itself.

The SignalRGB will control the Corsair sticks?

Corsair iCUE has received numerous updates and should use far less CPU resources.

That is incorrect. If you have a Corsair RGB supported product installed you will see it in iCUE. Then you can choose the item in the iCUE menu and choose a lighting effect.

You may need to enable SPD Write in the bios of the motherboard.

I went into BIOS, set the SPD Write to enabled,...fixed the issue. Thanks!
