Hello everyone, I recently bought a gtx 980 evga Classifield, setting the bios to normal as soon as I install an application frequency of 135 MHz card comes immediately to 1430 and no more further down the temperature rises from 35 to 56/57 degrees, the same thing happens when I start a game ... it is normal ???

It's boosting to 1430....if you have your NVIDIA control panel settings for power set to "prefer maximum performance", it'll cause it to run your boost 2.0 clocks constantly.

And yes....that's completely normal.  Set a custom fan curve to keep the temps down a tad more, and run with it.

It is very surprising after 5 years of gpu boost, people still panic when Nvidia overclock their cards for them.

Research gpu boost 2.0, and you will learn why that is happening. It is an interesting read and lots of good info on the way it works.

It is completely normal for cards to overclock themselves.

Overall this is a good sign, it indicates that the firmware and software running the card is showing headroom of temperature, power draw (TDP), and voltage and allowing the card to take advantage of the non-reference features of the Classified's PCB, the GPU will only boost to clocks that it believes are stable

    Welcome to the Forums adellaria!

As mentioned above, this is perfectly normal. If you would like to read more about GPU Boost 2.0 you can do so here:
