Ok so here goes. I got a EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2GB Yesterday. issue I am having is that I require this card to display on 2 monitors. One monitor via HDMI and one via DVI.

If a single DVI cable is plugged in upon start-up the monitor works fine, however once connecting the HDMI cable in for the second monitor the DVI monitor gets disabled and comes up saying no connected cable.

I have been onto NVIDIA support, we have tried using a variety of cables and using both monitors. I have used a DVI-HDMI cable, DVI-DVI cable on both monitors. Issue persists.

I uninstalled the drivers completely and used a range of older drivers. Issue persists.

I have updated the VBIOS, Used DDU to remove the drivers and perform a clean install. Tried low resolution mode to manually change the resolutions to the native, issue persists.

Pretty much stuck as to what else to try. I have seen some posts on the forums of similar issues and other users saying that dual monitors are not working correctly at this time.

    Welcome to the forums!

Have you tried connecting the HDMI monitor alone, without the DVI connected?

Yes I have done this also. HDMI works fine it is the DVI that is the issue.

Try this version of the software 347.88  and see if that helps out.

ok I will update ASAP and let you know the outcome. Thanks. I am picking up a DPORT to HDMI adapter so that might also fix the issue.

I ended up buying a DPort to HDMI adapter and using that, it fixed the issue. However the GPU is running pretty slow compared to the AMD R9 280 3GB that I had previously.

Is it recommended to OC this GPU and what would be a good base to OC.
