I got one of the cards as well and its supposed to arrive today, however I was not sure of water cooling it as I've never done anything similar before. Is it something a complete beginner can do? I was hoping to OC it on the stock cooler but looking at what folks are saying I may not get much out of it.

You don't have to custom cool it as it's a learning curve and you'll need to do the proper research.  With that said, I would just go the AIO (All In One) sealed liquid cooler route as it's much more simpler with it's install, set and forget.  You'll need cooler for your GPU but atm it's not in stock and have to wait till they replenish stock again.  Just sign up with auto notify.

Thanks !! While that product looks far more easier than the custom water cooling videos I saw I think I may need to watch a lot more videos before I can ever get to do this.
I noticed that this AIO is ~$170 adding that to the BE GPU takes the total price to ~$1170 at that price point would it have been better to get their higher priced models with better heatsinks?
Or does adding the AIO water cooling kit really do wonders for the card?

Not worth the higher priced ones because the black MIGHT clock the same as them but regardless, if it's for gaming, FPS won't be that much of a difference from each other.  The higher clocks are just for benchmarking but the black + AIO is better than just air.  You will get better temps and lower audibles as you would in custom but not as good as custom obviously, dependent on your loop configuration.

I basically payed the same amount for this GPU + waterblock since I already have a existing custom loop.  Don't forget a good custom loop will cost $400-$600 for a CPU and GPU only loop on top of the GPU + WB.  AIO is the simplest and cheapest route.  As for custom, would the case have the room?  Did you do enough research to know the do's and don'ts, etc.  Maintenance?  You can see there are a lot of variables here when going custom.  Going AIO will get you more comfortable with liquid cooling and you can work your way up from there giving your self time to do the homework needed, etc.

That makes sense, I am just looking to push additional frames for gaming on my UW. I game with headphones on most of the time and my case is semi open for better air flow and cooling. I've been looking at the UPS truck drive all over the map waiting for him to stop at my house as I am really excited for the 2080 TI. I've taken some benchmarks and scores of my current system and if I can see a 20 - 30% increase in graphics score I will be very happy.
I have the AIO you mentioned on notify, hope I can try that out soon as I've never tinkered with the GPU at this level before.
The weird thing is I just read that DLSS may not support 3440x1440 yet and I wish I knew that earlier, can't do much about it now.
Thanks for all your help and advice.

It will support all resolutions.  It all depends if it's implemented in said gaming titles.

Just an update, I got the card and I like how its a dual slot model and not triple.
I ran the card through some heaven and 3dmark benchmarks at stock and noticed that it would get to around 75 -76 and then hang around at that temperature.
I used the Precision X1 and ran the OC scanning tool, after a while it gave me a pass score of +180. I applied it and noticed that the card clock would keep varying slightly above 1800 and then immediately drop down to 1770s. I assumed this was the card trying to keep thermals in check which I did not fully understand as the graphs show that it would only downclock when it hit 88 maybe I missed to check some other settings.

Long story short, I opened up my case and changed the gpu fan model to a setting much more agressive. Now at 90% fan speeds the card is around 64 to 68C and the core clock is much more stable at 1800. I did notice higher heaven and 3d mark scores with this fan profile setup.

I hope I am not damaging the card by running it with this aggressive fan profile, when there are no games running it sits around at 41C and only ramps up the fans when the temps go above 60.

The fan noise is there but I use headphones when I play and do not hear it, I do plan to water cool it when I get the necessary parts and understanding.

You won't damage nothing.  You can do w/e you want with it as it has protections in place so it doesn't get damaged.

For future reference the RTX has a max temp of 89c so you're looking pretty good.  The GPU will throttle if you're close to that temp via GPU boost.

I also ran scan and got a +180 but wasn't sure if I was suppose to use that number as my GPU OC or what.  I'm still not sure.  I just left my GPU on auto till they update PX1 and is more stable as my GPU OC's on its own to 1860-1875MHz while gaming in BF5 which is my most GPU demanding title I own atm and your idle temps are my load temps via custom liquid cooling to put it to perspective.

I really do not see what the deal is with the $1399+ cards out there. The $999 black runs fine. This is on air with plenty of case ventilation. +180 core, +1000 Memory. I noticed that the top superposition scores are all within 4fps, kinda interesting scores are all close.

I personally would go with the nzxt g12. It's a little adapter plate that let's you attach a regular cpu aio of equal or better quality than the one EVGA provides for way cheaper.

Yes, there were previous posts on this forum and on other sites showing that under water, the non-A 300 chips can overclock just as well. In my case, using +200 core and +1000 memory with a G12 and H100i v2 (240mm rad), in Superposition 4k, I get

With watercooling, you definitely run into power limit as you can see in Afterburner, so I do wish I had got a FTW series possibly instead. The Kingpin version (which usually have much better power delivery, such as 3 power inputs instead of 2, and higher power limit) seems to come with a hybrid model, but if that's released, I may go for a Hydrocopper instead and setup a small GPU-only loop.
