Hello I was wondering if i can use the z77 overclock guide with my z75 I'm using the same cpu a 3770k with 2133mhz platinum dominator.
Now if i was to go about it the safe way without turning up the volt and doing any other ajustment to the bios, do i just increase the multiplier  till the game crash? the default right now is at 35ghz i assume i can start at 40 since it goes up to 39 on turbo.
any advice would be great thank you in advance.

I wouldn't go over 1.200-1.250V for every day.
You can set stock voltage first and start with x41 or x42 multiplier to see how much you can.
First off course download Prime95 27.9, LinX with AVX instructions, Intel Burn Test.
With them you will check stability. You don't need to leave 12h test but 1-2h is recommend for stability test.
Except stability software you need to look temps with HW Monitor or Real Temps, AIDA 64,...Later with higer OC If temps go over 90C stop testing...

Example VDrop Disable, Core Voltage 1.150V, Multiplier x42,   LinX with All memory 20 runs > Prime95 last version 1-2h.

ok i did what you told me and everythign is working fine but what i dont get is how come on the e-leet tunning utility under cpu my core speed is at 4190.8mhz multiplier is 42 and bus speed is at 99.8mhz my memory at the moment is running on 1333mhz havent use the xmp. but i notice this also on stock setting on the cpu. core speed would be just below what it suppose to be, like the multiplier is at 39 but the core speed is at 3890.8 or something like that . how can i make it so its right at 42 not 4190.8mhz

    Re:Can I use the EVGA Z77 overclock guide with my z75? 2013/02/20 12:03:07 (permalink)
It's not so easy... We told about that several times... You think It's hard for me to click 3 times ion EVGA ELEET and I have 100. Like this It's sime like I downclock Bus Speed, some programs and read -.
But than start feeezing and display driver stop working...
I try several times, 100.3 but no chance...

Simply board is wrong on few important places and only people like me can deny something like that because I use stock for now and not so fast memory and don't use sleep mode, RAID mode,... etc...
Many people who know much more than me cross on ASUS and that's not kind of people who change hardware like that because they can... They try everything more than 5-6 months... No board have problems, unfixable on important places, hardware-BIOS problems... I don't know where...
My CPU temps are 7C more and about 7-10C more in load than people on other board. I know that not because my clocks, I know that because my CPU work on extremely low voltages and I would burn CPU if they need only 1.300V for some OC over 4.6GHz....And I have H100 and he can't help me.

Look clock during last BIOS, FIXED 1.21 THEY MAKE 1.17 but he is not good and soon they make excellent one...
This is idle, clocks in idle... I mean clock numbers change place I hit printscreen in one moment...this is after restore default...
Look what that devil do to CPU and system...

    Hesitant board...
What she decide , 3.8 or 3.9 or she need to leave 1.6 because I didn't toucn anything and C1 is enable.
On this monitor you can't see and 3.6 is present sometimes and in most of time if I start some process, I mean 3.695 that is 3.7 problematis x37 clock

I stay on 1.12 BIOS forever, I mean I don't look update section for this board any more... and prey to hold until Haswell E because I don't plan to buy second high end Z77 motherboard. I don't have money for playing like that and that is stupid twice motherboard for same socket... I do what I can... no everything is like she decide.

i just notice notice the internal pll voltage is not saving when I enbale it. after i save and restart computer and go back into bios the itenal pll voltage would be disable again. wft also sometimes my 3rd hard drive would not show when logging in window. it only comes back after doing a cmos reset. I'am running the 1.21 bios for z75.

People notice different nasty/evil/wierd bugs with both 1.17 and 1.21 BIOS. Example from first BIOS I mean together with fabric I didn't have problems only with last two 1.17/1.21
Try older 1.12 BIOS but Z77 FTW love to work without memory...

    Oooo you have Z75, I didn't download...
And I see they remove every previous BIOS from Z77 and Z75 motherboards, only last...
