I have an Evga SuperNova 750W gold plus G+ and an Evga SuperNova 750W gold plus G5 and wanted to use some cables from one for the other. I know it's a big nono to switch cables on PSUs but think they are compatible and just want to be sure, thanks

Hey Epsolike
Looks like will have to send a note to support as well. There is some conflict in info between the EVGA site and Cablemod. Cablemod has the G/G+/P/P+/T cables listed separate yet EVGA has GP+ and P+ listed B3/B5/G2/G3/G5/G6/GA/GM/GP+//P2/P3/P5/P6/P+/T2
Gack..talk about being confused but thanks for your reply to Bartmole.

They are not separate, all of those you mentioned are E-Series cables compatible, which means they can be exchanged with eachother.
GP+ is basically G1+ (EVGA says this themselves right under that list, so they just don't list G+ or G1+ separately).
Furthermore the E-Series cables have been used for so long on all those various models, their compatibility is a guarantee now, CableMod would note otherwise.

But i do agree, if someone doesn't know this or isn't convinced, support might be more reassuring!

Yes I agree however Cablemod lists them separate, which is where the confusion comes from. Another company also lists them separate although they lists the 1000W G+ inclusive. According to Cablemod, E-series means the cables are for EVGA.
Then again, Cablemod could be doing this on purpose. Now to order a power cord for a G+...seems vacuums love destroying them 🤔🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Thanks for the re-assurance.

They are separate because thats how CableMod wanted to "display" it, clarity.
EVGA separates them with dashes, because in that post they decided thats how they wanna visually represent it.
But when it comes to what matters, the compatibility, everything that is E-Series cables are compatible with eachother (they have to be the same exact pinout for the same cable set to work, so they are), this has been proven time and time again (i wouldn't dare say otherwise, others on this forum in the past have said so too and CableMod Compatibility was a recognized "guide").
This is just so you get over the idea of "seeing it separate" and that being a cause for concern, it's just a visual representation choice.
I still agree to ask support so you have an "official" reassurance, just understand that the visual differences aren't what you think they are (if there is still a support to ask even).

I had asked support here and they replied after your replies. The only suggestion made, if getting the complete set listed, is get a different 24 pin motherboard cable if using it with larger supplies like the 1300+. The other cable will work but assurance is what counts incase the power supply gets "pushed" into the max watts range.
As for Cablemod, I have had others agree with me this week. When I say separate, I mean Cablemod lists a completely separate full set for the P/P+/G/G+ instead of doing as EVGA suggests. The agreement with me, from others, for Cablemod to list only 1 set, with the P/P+/G/G+ series included, with notice that the "larger" 24 pin cable should be used on the higher watt units, much the way EVGA stated.
Thanks for the help. I can pass this along to others with confidence.

I don't understand what do you mean honestly.

Basically everything on the list EXCEPT for GQ/PQ/GS/NEX/PS models are the exact same E-Series cable set, fully compatible and working.
So B3/B5/G+/G1+/G2/G3/G5/G6/G7/GA/GM/GT/P+/P2/P3/P5/P6/T2 are all exchangeable.
This is all observarable by anyone from the earlier link: https://eustore.cablemod.com/compatibility/
There is no need to worry about the 24pin ATX either, the cables from CableMod are manufactured accordingly, if you did get cables from EVGA directly, thats when their own suggestions regarding that is to be taken into account.

At the end of the day i don't aim to convince you if you aren't receptive of this, i wanted to help the OP and others with similar questions, because i have experience and (i beleive) accurate information over this (i think this is important over everything when trying to help others) and have participated in a few previous compatibility topics before (if anything, you can browse back in time and see that other users suggest those lists as trustworthy, not just me).

As I stated, I appreciate the help and can pass along the info to others with confidence. There are still a great many who go crosseyed looking at the listings in other vendors, not just Cablemod.

Cablemod lists all the cables when u click on 1 of the links in the compatibility. Yes they all say E-series and many noobies think "Ok E-series because EVGA like C-Series for Corsair. The confusion is/was coming from them not including the whole lineup from the onset. " >  >  >  > CableMod E-Series Pro ModMesh Sleeved 12VHPWR Cable Kit for EVGA G / G+ / P / P+ / T " and  " >  >  >  > CableMod E-Series Pro ModFlex Sleeved 12VHPWR Cable Kit for EVGA G7 / G6 / G5 / G3 / G2 / P2 / T2"  They should have included all supplies on the preface listing page. Yes opening the page you do get the other supplies listed at the top of the page, but then the description goes off on a tangent about the listing clicked on. And yes I realize they are ModFlex and ModMesh. This would have been better> " >  >  >  > CableMod E-Series Pro ModFlex Sleeved 12VHPWR Cable Kit for EVGA G7 / G6 / G5 / G3 / G2 / P2 / T2 / G / G+ / P / P+ / T" or  " >  >  >  > CableMod E-Series Pro ModMesh Sleeved 12VHPWR Cable Kit for EVGA G7 / G6 / G5 / G3 / G2 / P2 / T2 /  G / G+ / P / P+ / T. Those suggestions have been forwarded to them.

I realize this is not of your doing nor EVGA's doing and, again, I appreciate the accuracy and clarity that you provided.
Thanks again

Thats true, on individual products they do not list all the compatible PSUs, but thats why the compatibility list exists, and i guess people that know can share it to those who do not.
I suspect it's for reasons like keeping product names or text condensed or they think whatever PSUs they list on the product page are the ones most often purchased or relevant? No idea why exactly.
Then yeah you have a more flexible and a more luxurious but also more stiff type. Other than that every E-Series should be easy to filter. There are old sets, there are new 12VHPWR sets etc.
