Forgot I installed a driver below 340.. holy hell time difference! added 5 hours to my processing time.. To use CUDA for video editing you need a driver below 340.. gpu grid needs after.. thanks guys!

Orange_1050 .... Actually a bit strange, since we have some GPU firepower to show. I might be wrong, but if all of us hard as we can here, we might have a fun fight, possibly about Third Place. There are 17 teams now, and one of the Challenges before had 170 participants, so don't expect to be lonely![](https://forums.evga.com/upfiles/smiley/laugh.gif) If I was on another team, and saw us, all signed up, I'd think... OH NO... Not THEM. Get ready to rumble boyz![](https://forums.evga.com/upfiles/smiley/sneaky2.gif)
Possibly Third, care to change your mind ![](https://forums.evga.com/upfiles/smiley/s3.gif) . Its still far from over but the stats so far are promising. Looks like we have almost twice the number of active users for this contest compared to the pogs competition. EDIT: Also from what I have seen, running either the cpu task for gpugrid or simap results in minmail difference to how long the gpu task needs. havn't tested with a ton of units, but its been around 5h 40min with cpu running with 100% cores active and something like 5h 25min without cpu. This is with a x5650 xeon cpu @4ghz.

Enjoy folks... did some PMS on my system today. Finally have the 670's re-tim'd and blown out with the high pressure hose. Temps running 18C on a 70% fan... Might be a bit late to join but I'm glad you guys are out there representing our team.

Folks.. if you're hitting that hot (and the 18C was at rest without a WU) pull that puppy apart and re-tim it as well as blow out your fans. The blowers (and more importantly the heat sink) on my 670's get clogged really bad. Oh... and I'm not part of this event. I'm leaving it to you folks. I had to do some fixing here as I said.

ooohhhhh I though you meant 18C under load. I'm happy with my gtx 980 sitting at ~65C while crunching GPUgrid. Lot cooler then my old gtx 470.

Possibly the greatest post ever posted on the Crunching Forum, by one of the greatest crunchers in the world! I couldn't have said it better. As for me, I'm just trying to stay 1 step ahead of mflanaga who has turned it up a notch into Beast Mode. Thanks for mentioning Geos52 and 427jmf. For years now, they have been top producers and deserving of accolades, but probably care little about that. All the rest of you young upstarts, lol just keep bringin' it. Others that came to the party:bill1024, Opolis, GPUG2-172818, Incognito II, Grey_Beard and Envoyfromhell is in the house! Forgive me if I missed anyone, probably from the tears in my eyes.

bill1024 Both my 660Ti are doing ok, just under 11 hours for 159k points each. Think I am CPU heavy, need a couple more GPUs Will see if the GTX-9xx price drops and become more available. Cranking out some WCG WUs and keeping the house warm with all the systems running.
For Long runs I do run One GPU and One CPU Core. app_config.xml located under C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.gpugrid.net <app_config> <app> <name>acemdlong</name> <max_concurrent>2</max_concurrent> <gpu_versions> <gpu_usage>1.0</gpu_usage> <cpu_usage>1.0</cpu_usage> </gpu_versions> </app> </app_config> You do not need the <max_concurrent>2</max_concurrent> I use it only run 3 of my Titans because my UPS cannot handle it. Once I add my 2nd PSU the I can run all three card at once.
