Party foul - busted my two month old EVGA FTW3 3090Ti's HDMI2.1 port by bumping into PC and having the cable yank out a bit sideways. The internal plastic tab that houses the pins got a bit mangled.  I purchased here through EVGA and I contacted EVGA via support in hopes that they could repair or offer a suggestion for a repair and got the following response:

I'm super bummed as I used this with a 4K120Hz OLED and utilize the benefits of HDMI 2.1.  I've reached out for a quote for repair from NorthRidgeFix on youtube earlier (haven't heard back yet) but was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions or experience with repairing HDMI ports on GPU's. I am not qualified, or comfortable attempting to repair myself.  The display ports still work 100% fine, but I utilize the HDMI only.

OK I found this video from Northridgefix in which he replaces an HDMI port on the RTX 3090. If you know someone who has outstanding soldering skills then the steps shown in the video should help you. Keep in mind that it is very easy to damage surrounding components if you are not careful and proficient:

The next biggest problem is finding an exact replacement part. 

That’s a pretty common repair for a good electronics repair shop.  People are trashing their Xbox’s and PS every day.  My son works for UBIF and does 10 a week.  Just get some recommendations before you give them the work.

Sorry hear that happen Those Lil HDMI ports look like a pain to repair I saw that video from northbridge. I done repairs of changing Caps, mosfets job came out great my product even lasted 104 yrs of good use out of it. But hat HDMI got have right set up to fix. glad there is places like Northbridge around.

Make sure you read the specs very carefully in that it fully supports the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth of 48 or at least 40Gbs or you will have to reduce chroma settings from 4:4:4 at 4K at 120hz.
The one linked above only has support for 32.4 Gbps. That isn't enough bandwidth to run 4K 10 bit 4:4:4 at 120hz. You'd have to either reduce the bit depth, chroma or the refresh rate.

That's what these are. You cannot use a passive adapter for HDMI 2.1.
