AnsweredBrand new X17 buttons stopped working?

I just got a brand new X17 mouse. When I first plugged it in, everything appeared to work ok, though I think I only tested that I could move the mouse and change the DPI. Then when I tried to use it again the next day, I could move the mouse cursor, but I couldn't left or right click. Then I noticed I couldn't change the DPI anymore either. I've tried using it on 3 different computers now and it's the same on all of them. I'm hoping there's just some weird option to disable the buttons that I might have hit, because I can't imagine it just spontaneously breaking like that.

    I had a similar thing happen when I first got mine. You need to install Unleash RGB. You don't need to run it all the time. Just open it once, at least, to update the firmware on the mouse, then make sure all the buttons are assigned to what you want them to be. After that, it keeps everything stored on the mouse, so that's probably why it's not working as expected on any computer you try.
     
    When I got my X17, it worked fine for a bit, but when I started switching profiles, the buttons got assigned to nonsensical things. It works awesomely now.

    Thanks, that got it! It looks like that program is mentioned in the instructions, but I saw RGB and figured I didn't really need it since I didn't care about messing with the RGB.

    Yeah I thought the same thing. I actually had the hardest time finding it. Searching didn't help. I hope you had an easier time.

    Same here. I reassigned the profile switch button right away so I don't switch accidentally. Just use the software to switch.
