Actually I really like it.... Definitely worth owning in case your on the edge.... Works my card HARD.... Some scenes I only have 21fps on the (Phenomenal) new ATI Drivers in a lot of the scenes... The game pre-set all my setting on the highest.. that was cool!.... Fan goes up to 65%... Small Heli in a box...lol

Anyone else have thoughts on it???

I'm looking forward to playing this one as well, but I'm still trying to finish a couple of games myself which is why I haven't picked it up. Thanks for the heads up AB. I'll be sure to get it soon.

Water in this is off the hook. The rest looks a lot like it did before..... But when you in the ocean walking on the floor they did a good job of partially blurring your vision. So the DX11 seems to not be used or wasted o that portion...

Had I of had time, I would have played the first one again before starting this one. I may do that for the second lap on the hardest settings!

Seems like a lot like the original. 4-5 hours so far. Dionysus Park right now. Don't think it's gonna stretch to 10 hours, but enjoyin it.

    I don't think this game is DX11

But anyway I think the game is well amazing.... I really loved the first.

I only have one complaint and I know people are going to disagree but just hear me out.

**** did they get rid of gamepad support. I know I know I always use KB/M on FPS but Bioshock to me always seemed more suited for gamepad. And I wanted to be able to play this on my HTPC while laying in bed. My gf loves Bioshock and this is one of those games we play together. She does not like KB/M so well that is not going to happen. They had support in the first one and it was implemented perfect.

There is a thread here @ 2K asking for support. This is not about KB/M vs Gamepad it is for people that are more comfortable with gamepad and I don't feel they should be left out.

     Thanks AB

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Anyone that has a problem with you or anyone else liking to play a game on the PC with anything they do not like is their problem....

I do prefer my gaming Merc keyboard, but I helped with the petition anyway. Just seems silly to me for something so trivial to not be supported... Whats next? No mouse support??

bioshock 2 is awsome, just no gamepad support. most ppl dont care and use a k&m but i use the gamepad. regardless, the fact is that most ppl prefer to game with a gamepad and no support will definatly hurt 2k games. I think a patch is in order to fix this, and for the ppl who game with the mouse and keyboard- there should be no complaints.

Played for about an hour today... with a GTX 285 and it went flawless. Had to resort to a keyboard in the lap and mouse on the bed :-( I don't use a computer desk so I'll be setting up Pinnacle in the morning so I can use my 360 controller. The game is a lot of fun but isn't shooting crazy people who can't sit still anyway... LOL Pretty sure I won't finish the game since I'm more of a Hardware tester than gamer when it come to PC's but once my 360 copy comes in I'll really dive into it.

I'm wondering if Bioshock 2 has 2 endings depending on wether you rescue or harvest the little sisters (It was like this in the first one). I'm about half done with the game on rescuing them and I do plan to do a second run through later to harvest them just to see what happens.

Sounds good, I probably won't get it right away though.  I never really "got" the first one....I've had it for over a year and tried playing it more than a few times.  I just couldn't get into it really.   I'll have to give the original one more shot and see what I think, then maybe look at the 2nd one.

That is still a rumor.... I have looked in a lot of places to find the official answer with no luck. Even their own site =[... But if not, they did a better job with the water this time around.... Spent another few hours and killed my second Big Sister... Lots of fun..... Definitely a game that will be played more than once by me...

I was this way too! I think I owned it for about a year before I was board one day and finally just sat down and played it. Once I did I realized my issue before was the new way they wanted us to play the game, and all the options you have to decide on as you go. At the time I was just wanting a gun and run type play. But once I got into it, it was fun learning about all the "Unknown" stashis and such along the way, and like most other games, what helps you kill the sicko's changes.

Once I "Got it" I played it about 4x's now and enjoy it every time. I think the way to say it for me.... There are games that single player is fun but Multi is not. And visa versa. For me both releases are a great single player game...

Well I plan to get it through Steam anyway which should be all the DRM these developers need, but you know how it goes.  I could deal with FC2 securom so I can handle this as long as it's not a more intrusive version.

I can't imagine what purpose Live would serve.  Do you mean you have to log into Live via the game interface, or through the Steam interface, or etc?  I use a Live account for Bing cashback so I can't say I hate it, but still seems pointless.

I just finished the game rescuing all the little sisters the ending was good, not a bad game at all. The Big Sisters was a pain to beat playing on hardest difficulty (died multiple times lol), but the rest of the enemies weren't really that hard.

When it goes through Live, it logs achievements and uses the built-in P2P matchmaking system.  You can also join matches with your friends.  I like it and the DRM never bothers me.  In fact, DRM has never bothered me.

Pretty good game but for 50 bucks I thought it was a little short. It took me about 6 hours to complete.I was amazed how well this game  ran on my system, not a single crash or lockup and fps through the roof.I will buy Bioshock 3 if they make another one.

I'm on Medium too and can't get enough.  It's by far one of the best games I've played since Bioshock 1.  I love the weapons and the AI responses/actions, they crack me up.  And, the game too play silky smooth as Bioshock 1 did.

The only thing that's a little bothersome is the lagginess in multiplayer.  The first day I got it installed and played before the Bioshock 2 Live patch, it wasn't laggy.  However, playing some today I've found it to be very laggy.  When I move, it jumps back and teleports me to a location a couple of feet back.  I presume it won't be like that all the time from now and might be improved later on with patches.

I had that same exact issue when I played too in intense battles, I thought that was wierd almost like the character was having sync issues like you find in public beta games sometimes.

OK... Finished it. It seems like it is done a few times... and away we go again. They did a good job on this version for me. I enjoyed it and it is worth the admission price.

Downloading the new Stalker now... I will play that and then go back on the hardest mode in BS2 afterwords...
