Are you suppose to use both or one or the other?
 
and I also have a problem with the right amount of points being shown unless I am reading my gpu fold incorrect.

sorry I meant the cpu fold not gpu

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

if you just started all you are getting is base points for your SMP Work units 
 
in order to receive bonus points for quick return you need to complete 10 wu or more with 80% success rate
and you need a passkey to get them

You only need an internet connection to receive new wus and send them back once finished
