Installed windows 10, device manager shows a couple base system devices with no drivers. I've installed all the drivers from evga. Anyone know what these are/which driver they need?

Hardware id is:

Vendor (VEN) ID 8086 is Intel Corporation for sure..No luck here finding the Device (DEV) 0E19 yet..Try running the Intel Driver Update Utility and see if it coughs up anything.

Normally this indication means the chipset drivers are not installed properly. Which X79 motherboard do you have?

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

X79 dark, the newer revision without bluetooth. Tried the intel driver update utility, it didn't find anything.

Reinstalled latest version of chipset drivers, no luck.

Use the Driver Install DVD that Came with your Motherboard and let it install the Base Drivers (All of Them).
Once completed THEN you can update Drivers as needed. This also holds true with the X99 Motherboards.
Cause is the user is not installing the Drivers in the Correct Order Needed.
You must do this WITHOUT add-on Devices like Sound Cards or any PCIe Card other than a (Single) Graphics Card.
And Install only ONE Graphics Card until the Base OS is installed and all your Devices are installed, that is No Yellow under Device Manager.

I had one yellow ! after doing the online Win 10 upgrade from 8.1. I just recently installed the Dark chip set drivers from the site and it went away. Left all 3 of my video cards in, did not need to remove them. Maybe if it's a clean install of Windows 10 you may have this problem.

Yes, and it went away when I installed the Chipset drivers from EVGA's driver download page for the Dark.

Is Intel Management enabled in the bios? Are you installing using stock speed settings?

Yes, I reset speed settings before I did the fresh install. I don't remember seeing Alan intel management setting in the bios, do you know where its at?

Looking at it again it's the Directed I/O configuration which is off by default.

enabling/disabling vt-d didn't fix it, was a good idea though.

@CSPlayer089, I've installed latest chipset driver and didn't fix it, did you have ~10 base system devices yellow as well, or just one like MhzManiac?

Could try Driver Booster (I'd link it, but not enough posts)- sounds gimmicky, but actually works.
It has some add-ons if you don't read the install properly.
It goes through all your crap and updates what needs to be - you can select if you don't want them updated as well.

Just figured it out, it was because I had perfmon and dfx registers unhide on in bios for some reason. Goes away when I hide them.

I always wondered what would happen if the unhide was selected, now I know not to do that.

Good job staying on it and figuring it out.

The unhide works fine if you are having issues with a particular device.  I have used the procedure I post many times when I have installed and reinstalled drivers for a device which is acting up.   Strange for this unhide setting to be on even with a fresh install with a cleared BIOS and formatted drive.
