So if you have an AMD Ryzen processor like I have you can download and install the Ryzen balanced power plan which is optimized for AMD processors. That download is located here. This helps reduce core parking which can affect performance.

So since getting your Ryzen and all the "tweaks" that have been released (like this for your power settings) how are you liking this CPU? Is there differences noticed in relation to what you use yours for compared to the same programs when using your Intel? I am not concerned with benchmark results, but real world experience running day to day tasks/ programs. I see from all the "bashing" that gaming is "disappointing" but seems to be getting worked on too.

More and more games are being optimized for Ryzen and this should continue with time. Really like this CPU as compared with my old i7-5820k. I am definitely seeing better CPU performance. With my GTX 1080ti and this processor 4K gaming is just simply wonderful and has reached my expected potential.

This is what I like about forums, news site just run with "zen bad at games". Meanwhile its a 500 dollar CPU that is almost always being used with a 1080##, so why do the 1080p scores matter and why is it bad when its within single digits of its Intel rival who is priced at twice as much?
Its a workstation/4k gaming chip and real people seem to be loving it.

Yes, this is why it's nice to get reviews from people who use it everyday with a mixed purpose. It's like movie reviewers...."that movie is garbage" but when I see the same movie I think it's great. I was hoping it would have better results for Bcav on crunching projects. It would be nice to have the cores in that scenario to fit my purpose at half the price, Crunching not gaming. Issue is the hype train pumped it up and it didn't meet (at this time) exactly, on spot the hype everyone was spewing so "it must be bad because it doesn't game well". Hopefully it gets "tuned" in for Crunching, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.............at that I'd buy 2!!!
