Thinking about purchasing a X58 3X SLI or X58 LE from the B stock section on the website.  Just got a new I7 930 and this seemed like a good way to save money on my new build.  Anyone have any experience with this?  I know they don't come with accessories but I guess I could buy my own SLI bridge and I/O shield and still save money.  Other drawbacks are no Step Up and only 90 day warranty.  Just trying to see if anyone had any regrets about purchasing B stock or if anyone is glad they did.

I think the general consensus is you are pretty much getting as advertised. People seem happy, and if you do run into problems, it usually crops up early and able to get a fix within the 90 day warranty.

On the plus side you do get an I/O shield, but you still need to buy the sli bridge.

Thanks for the feedback.  Is the I/O shield the only accessory included in the B stock mobo's?  Has anyone gotten anything else in the box?  Also I wonder if the X58 3X SLI is v1.0 or v1.1.  It could just be luck of the draw I guess.  If I get the B stock motherboard I could afford to do SLI immediately.

I bought 2 X58 SLi E758 boards and both work perfect. They both came with i/o shield, 3way and 2way SLi bridges and cd drivers disk, but you're only guaranteed the i/o shield.

Awesome, well I guess I will take the plunge.  Were your boards v1.0 or v1.1?  From what I have read I think v 1.0 still has the s3 bug and v1.1 doesn't?

Both mine are rev 1.0. I don't know anything about the s3 bug, I never use sleep/hibernate.

I bought mine about 2 months ago.  It only came with the I/O plate.  It has been running fine, and I even have it OC'd to 4ghz with only 1.285v.  Both the flexible 2-way, and the 3-way SLI bridge are available from the accessories page.  I am very happy with my purchase.

my e758 board that came was a 1.0. Also it came with two and 3-way SLI bridges but there were marks on the pcb where a cooler had been clamped down too tight the the fets had what looked like outward radial scorch marks on the but everything seems to be working ok.

You guys are all making me want to go with a EVGA b-stop motherboard! I did have a somewhat bad experience with a b-stop motherboard about a year ago though. Had ordered an LGA775 nForce 790i Ultra to go with my Q9550 but the board arrived completely dead. But you can have that happen with pretty much any computer component. The process was a breeze though as I was refunded completely. That experience will not make me not try b-stock items again though as it's a great way to save some cash all while having the possibility of getting top-notch performance.

Can someone tell me though, why the X58 Classified is priced at 179.99$ and the GTX560Ti FPB is also priced at 179.99$ ? I'm not entirely sure what I'm expecting as I certainly don't mind the Classy being at 179$.

I picked up a X58 sli micro a few weeks ago.  Board looks brand new.  Came with just an i/o shield.

Runs 200 bclk no problem on stock voltages, and for $30 total (after evga bucks) I'm a happy camper.

Picked up an X58 Micro LE about three weeks ago.  Running sweet with no overclock just yet.  Got it for a friend who never owned a computer, so I built one up for him.  I'd say it's a good deal either way.

I got my X58 SLI LE as a 'refurbished' product from a certain vendor, since it was just slightly cheaper than the EVGA store at the time.  It is essentially the B-Stock deal, however.  It came packaged clean and looked as though it had never been used.  Ran great from the first boot!  Only came with the I/O shield, but I have more than enough cables and accessories from boards in the past that I don't need those, anyway.  Would definitely go this route again in the future.

I get the impression that a lot of these products, rather than being returns, are actually new ones that they kept for warranty replacement.  Now that some products are getting to their end of life or there's just not been that much demand for replacements, we're able to get some of those at amazing prices.  Of course, I could be wrong.  Either way, it works for me.

Edit: Also, the Micro is an absolute steal.  I've actually thought of getting one for a micro ATX build somewhere down the road, and as a spare.

I'm contemplating getting the SLI-Micro! How is it running for you ? Was this your first 1366 board ? If not, what did you have prior ? I currently have a X58A-UD3R Rev 2 from gigabyte but the socket for the cpu has bent pins. It runs fine though, only if I stay at stock speeds with the cpu. If I try to oc just a bit, it crashes.
I have 12gb of memory right now, which is the limit for the micro board. Not that big of a deal cause I think 12gb is plenty considering alot of people still run on 4-6gb total.

The x58 micro can take 24gb of ram.   It is a full featured x58 board, it just smaller.  The pci slots are a little tight, and the nb heatsink is a little closer to the cpu socket.

It's a great board if your only running one card, or two cards and no sound card.

I believe Microcenter still runs a $200 special, although each time the discontinue a chip, they move it to the next new item, went from 920 to 930, now 960.
