Does that model use a USB interface for the microphone and an analog 3.5mm jack a digital optical TOSLink S/PDIF interface for headphone output? If so, it's possible that they require special drivers for the USB-driven microphone. Seeing as those are meant for console, the drivers are most likely designed to auto-load when plugged in to an Xbox. Check the website to see if there are drivers for PC that you can manually install for the microphone. Make sure to go directly to the Turtle Beach website ( www.turtlebeach.com) to look for drivers instead of using a search engine...

I can't find anything about PC compatibility on the product page. Only shows instructions for connecting to XBox 350 and a side note that it also works with PS3..

I hate to have to say it, but I don't think the USB device is PC compatible The optical connection works only because there's a direct connection to your sound card/motherboard audio with only audio being transmitted with one-way output to the headset. USB communicates bidirectionally; ie: both input and output. Audio ports are standard but USB devices are driver-dependent. That's why it's not showing up on your control panel. I'm really sorry

Do you have the budget to purchase a new headset? I can help you pick a good one that'll fit your needs, and I'm sure there are lots of others who can jump in with helpful recommendations.

Once there you have to set it up in the control panel as your default mic. The headset is wireless but the mic isn't.

The USB in this headset is only to power the R/F base.

adamf4i Can you not use the headphone input jack on the transmitter for the x41 No, you need the cable. I included the free adapter for the microphone to work with the PC. But I recommend that you use a long auxiliar radio cable in order to have some free space. anony-moose

No problem. I was the one that sold him the headset.
