I stayed dedicated for a solid month trying to get use to them. I hate the damn things so much and how they feel when holding the controller. I took them off and cant deal with it any longer. Anyone else? I know its a pretty big selling point of the controller but even with those gone. It still feels very comfortable.

I guess you're talking about these?

I never had an XBox so I don't know the difference. Many times I wish I had bought an XBox instead of a PC money pit that constantly needs upgrades and will eventually be forced to use Windows 10. I spent all day installing an ASRock Z270 Supercarrier motherboard just to find out it's DOA. Three mobos in a row that were DOA. I am sick and tired of this inferior junk coming out of China and being rammed down our throats. I want to see the Germans get involved in the sales and distibution of PC components. If you want something durable and reliable that will last a lifetime then buy German.

Yeah those are the paddles I am talking about. That sucks you got 3 dead mobos in a row. Sounds like my kind of luck when buying new things. That is one expensive mobo btw WOW!

Never held one with the paddles on it, but the controller does feel nice though.
Plan on buying one and the USB receiver for my PC instead of using my wired Logitech controller.

I bought one AsRock board, probably the only one I ever will. Sold it to my brother. Some reason the BIOS just corrupted itself for no reason, thought I had a dead mobo so I upgraded. Then when I was trying some bench testing I decided to try another BIOS to see it post. Was not happy.

I have a Fatality Z97X Killer that works great except it'll only run two GeForce video boards. I bought the Z270 Supercarrier for Folding since I can fit four video boards in there. I only have three 980 ti boards right now but that's a heck of a lot of cable management to do only to have to tear it back down again. It's not like I really needed the practice for crying out loud!

I love my Elite controller, but I agree the paddles are pretty much useless. I removed them on day one.

Since I don't run W10 (yet), I can't remap them, so they simple duplicate the function of the A,B, X and Y buttons.  Even if I could remap the buttons, because of the way I hold the controller I would be constantly pressing them.

The paddles are worthless. You can't program them to anything but the usual XBOX buttons. I want the ability to program them to whatever buttons/key presses that I want on PC. I wanted to use it for Elite Dangerous.

Thought the same as well. Then I bought it and the hype is real. It feels amazing and super premium in ones hand. So comfortable I can play hours with it on my pc. Totally worth it. I got a good deal on mine during the holidays. Gamestop had a deal when you traded in a wireless xbox one controller and buy the Elite controller. They give you $50 credit towards the purchase so I got mine for $99. Even if I did not though I still would have bought it and its totally worth the $149 asking price. I was in the camp thinking people are nuts paying $149 for a controller. I ate my words on that one.

The 8 way alone is worth the price of admission.
