The SkyNet POG's to be run from 10/9/17 thru 10/13/17 This a CPU only project (sadly) but it's okay because our GPU's have been working hard lately. I'd like to do it this week because there are a couple potential conflicts next week. So clear your cache's and map some dust density, stars and galaxy's. Im up and running POTM, well mostly. Yeah, glad you gave me some direction on the work buffer settings earlier bcavnaugh. I ran home and checked my computer there and found out I had the buffer set way high. Now it has 125 tasks sitting in the queue and Skynet are none of them. Thankfully my other computers did not have quite this bad of a backup. Are there ill effects to aborting tasks? I know it is highly frowned on in folding but what about BOINC? I have no problem running them since they need done eventually, but would like to get maximum effort going on POTM also.

You can delete tasks in BOINC, they get sent out right away. Unlike folding where they will have to time out before they are sent back out.

Yep you can abort BOINC Tasks, but do not delete them from the Project Folder.

General rule is okay to abort from boinc manager except the ones that have started, those you should finish. Thanks Spongebob28

Well I just took down my 4P AMD with 8 Processors (64 or 48) for it to replace it with a 2P Intel MB. I did take the 64GB and put it in my 2P AMD Rig. Crunching EVGA 2PSo now what do I do with this best Beast of a Motherboard? View System I removed the MB yesterday and am going to re-use the case as I did just get it.
