Cheers! Anybody knows when the Evga editions are going to pop out ?

No one knows yet for sure, but I would be very surprised to see if we get any info before March 10th.

Exnetic
Pre order is only at the webside but march 10 is for world wide buy?

Yes, March 2nd pre-order, March 10th Worldwide sales.

c0d3man
Can anyone confirm that this card will be eligible for Step-Up?  I called EVGA and spoke to a rep, their lips are sealed like the Mines of Moria.  Couldn't even give me a ballpark price figure for it either.  I just bought a 1080 FTW a month ago, I'm about to step my ass up! Lol

Like has been mentioned in many places here already, we don't know and will not know until at the very least Evga announces their 1080ti cards. And that is doubtful to happen until at least March 10th as that is when sales for the 1080ti founders goes worldwide. And if anything gets officially announced with regards to the step-up, you will see people talking about it in the forums.

I just updated my post above yours. I guess i dozed off right before it went live, lol. Oh well. Looks like nvidia is going to play another round of the "low quantities make high demands" game, and keep people constantly waiting.

I'm looking forward to the EVGA 1080 Ti Classified, but I assume that is a while from now.  Well worth the wait though from my two 980 Ti classified cards.  First time I'm actually going to be following a product on its release path, so this should be fun.

Nice try AzN-Solja. If you change the url to Ti, or to 1090, or to any number to include 1060, it shows as a blank store page. ;-) try it, instead of chsnging the url to 1080, try changing it to 1060. You know they are there.

Well it "should" be the correct link. It's how all the other Ti pages are labeled.

This is great news, I just built a Kaby Lake rig about a month ago, instead of buying a new card I used my 980 Ti SC,  I'll wait for an ICX version to show up.

You do realize that I knew what you were talking about and had probably tried the same thing. ;-)

EVGA is very good about waiting for the product to be out of NDA, and then they pull the website down for maintenance and update the pages.

The last classified hydrocopper was a 780. The usually do a hydrocopper, just not a classified hydrocopper. The 1080 hydrocopper was on the ftw style pcb, not the classified version.

Don't think the FTW is a thing on the Ti versions, or at least it hasn't been in the past generations?
It only was the base to SC to Classy to hydros.. correct me if I'm wrong gurus.

hmmmmm. I am willing to wait for whatever the best option for overclocking with a hydro copper. I just dont know what I should be looking for. I want to start getting into overclock this time around. should I get the first available ftw or wait to see if a classified comes out? seems like these cards are going to go fast.

No, you should get a reference card. Honestly. This is not a joke. Look at reviews everywhere for the 1080. The reference cards typically perform the same as the classified and the ftw. Reference cards will be more available, and the waterblocks will be less expensive. Go for the reference cards and your own waterblock, and you will be able to overclock just fine.

The reference cards often overclock higher than some custom cards. Save your money, buy reference.

I am a long time classified card owner. They are only better when using exotic cooling. When using air cooling or watercooling, you wait longer for the classified to be released on air, the you wsit even longer for a custom waterblock to be made. Skip the line.

I dont know evga history that well for releasing cards but what are the odds of them releasing a classified hydro copper? I have never bought a hydro copper until this time around. do they always release a classified hydro copper version of the ti cards?

The last classified hydrocopper was a 780. The usually do a hydrocopper, just not a classified hydrocopper. The 1080 hydrocopper was on the ftw style pcb, not the classified version.

Skip the line.

isnt it cheaper to buy the card with a water block on it already or buy a reference card and add a water block?

Someone school me here, If my EVGA Sc2 Icx is 1708 and 1804 clock speeds what are the clocks on the 1080ti founders card? As this is my only option as I have read to step up if and when they have it as a option

They will be the nvidia reference clocks. 1582 boost clock.
