Well more and more companies are trying to take advantage of the mining craze. Alphacool shows off their mining chassis with room for 7 fans and 4 power supplies. You can also stack them together if you have more than one of these cases. Available for €148.79 at the Alphacool store. I'm not crazy about mining but this chassis looks very nice There's lots of open space to work with.

Yes, you pay for it in monthly installments or what we call an Electric bill.

I don't get the part of watercooling a 12 GPU frame for mining 24/7... Only if you do as a hobby and you don't mind ROI.

If you lived in an area of cheap electricity (or have solar battery system), why not do something to extend the longevity of components?

Unless you pay less than 30-cents for electricity, Ethereum isn't worth mining anymore, most of the revenue is swallowed by electrical cost. But the cost of a single 330W solar panel plus inverter and maybe a deep cycle marine battery would equal the cost of one graphics card. Although the solar system may only run one graphics card, you get all the revenue back versus needing more cards to net the same profit, thus ROI is shorter.

Running a liquid cooled loop wouldn't affect ROI that much, at least not as much compared to a 6+ graphics card setup while plugged into the wall.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

    Very good POV.
And makes sense depending on what you're mining and how much electricity cost on your area (as you already said).

The way I said in my previous post is because of merchandising itself (since Alphacool is more know for their watercooling gear), not to mention big part of the miners won't take advantage of watercooling (I might be wrong, since I'm not into mining...).

I'm not speaking of the extra cost of feeding a watercooling loop with electricity, because they are negligible compared to the amount sucked by a 12 GPU rig. I'm saying that the costs of a loop for 12 GPUs is absurd only taking into account buying the 12 GPU blocks alone. Another problem is what happens if the pump feeding the GPU loop brokes. You can lost several GPUs.
Yes, you can mount a system with redundant pumps, but then you have more extra cost...
I think that for the sole propouse of mining, having each GPU on air is better solution... If one breaks, you can RMA it.

If you want the challenge to build a 12 GPU loop because watercooling is your hobby, that is another history so I can say that this GPU frame is for you. Only my .2

back when I was using a GTX 260 for gaming, a bank of them was needed even for 1920x1080

now with 8K screens I need a bank of GTX 1080 Ti cards to handle the typical shooter
