Hello all,

Do you have to have the fans set to auto and linked to be able to utilize the fan curve presets? Also does precision X1 have to be running in app tray for these to remain in effect?

My card was sitting at around 60C idling so i switched it to the OC setting on the card and was looking around in PX1 and need help with fans.

When i set the fans to manual it put each on 33% and my card went down to 31C at idle and the individual fan speed indicators started showing statistics, but when I put it on auto the individual fan speed indicators go to 0RPM and 0% on all 3 and the fans dont spin when im running a game. Am i doing something wrong?

When I did not have the OC switch on to use the OC Bios, the fans did not spin unless the GPU hit above 65C. You do need to have X1 running in your task bar so that the fan curve can apply. You also have to go to the fan curve page and tick the top box there in order for X1 to use the selected fan curve profile.

If you don't select auto then you have to manually set the fan speeds for the 3 fans. With OC bios the fans should always be spinning around 33% even when idle. I believe you do need them linked to use the fan presets.

Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate it. I didnt have the "Fan Curve Control" box checked which you referenced above and stuff seems to be responding to settings now.
