I'm still using an older system, Windows 7 HP 64-bit, and over the last 6 years I've downloaded the Visual C++ a number of times for various games I've downloaded. I now seem to have a lot of different versions of C++ installed, see below. I've uninstall all of my games recently and I'm wondering if I shouldn't uninstall some of the C++ programs. Anyone know which versions I need to keep installed? Is it really worth concerning myself about?

Some programs make use of the C++ redistributable, so it's always a gamble when uninstalling older version. It shouldn't cause any permanent damage to uninstall them, but you'll probably get errors until the correct version is re-installed. Personally, I'd recommend re-installing Windows if you haven't done so since 2012.

No, it's hard to tell what installed which version and it is Not backwards compatible

C++ does not get updated usually at an individual program level unless the publisher releases an update.  So, older versions Are Needed for the program that installed that version.

Move them to a safe location and see what happens.  If your program does not work move it back

Thanks, having the C++ programs installed does not seem to be causing any performance issues. I think I'll just leave them alone and if I reinstall an older game...what will be will be. I'm going to be doing a new build and I've reinstalled Windows a couple of times, but it's not worth it at this stage. I was just curious about C++ and its use.

Make sure you Run Windows Updates after you have removed or uninstalled then.
