ASRock came to Computex 2019 with a fairly big selection of socket AM4 motherboards based on the AMD X570 chipset. The lineup is led by the X570 Taichi, launched as a single SKU and not differentiated into an "Ultimate" variant. ASRock retains the characteristic gearwheel style along the board's styling. Almost the entire bottom half of the board is covered by a metal shroud that spreads heat from the chipset heatsink, and three M.2 SSDs. The chipset heatsink's fan is concealed behind a grille to not look like an eyesore. New generation connectivity options from this board include 2.5 GbE wired + 2.4 Gbps 802.11ax WLAN, and USB 3.2 ports. The Taichi looks a little less understated than its predecessors, with more RGB LED embellishments.

I've always liked the look of ASRock motherboards. That is why I have one for Threadripper.

That fan grill is more slotted sheet metal than grill and would seem to choke that fan off pretty significantly.  Personally, I like the idea of function over aesthetics and would have preferred a wire grill just to keep stuff out of the fan blades while providing as much air as the fan wants, but if it's sufficient for cooling, then so be it.

Buildzoid did his rambling analysis of the Taichi and said that it had a solid vrm and was surprised to see a T-topology on the ram slots instead of daisy chain so it was geared toward having a full bank of memory instead of just 2.

He also hinted at the Infinity Fabric overclocking with out actually saying it in one of his videos(NDA), which we can clearly see in the bios.

I have always leaned towards buying a ASRock board but Asus always wins out somehow. No Regrets as my Asus boards (Zenith Extreme, Extreme IV Dark, P67EVO, P5N-D) have all been SOLID except for a PCIe repair on the P67Evo and a new bios on the zenith(my fault). The Zenith is great but the lack of a second usb 2 internal header is limiting. Did not need a second until a year later. These new X570 boards have me thinking tho. Do I revisit mainstream if the PCIe lane count accommodates what I want/need? (44 Lanes x16/x16/x4/x4/x4) which I would be surprised if it did. (28 Lanes x8/x8/x4/x4/x4).

As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.
