It's actually obnoxious what the asking price has become for the top end motherboards in general. Not even this blasphemy of a board but just the "regular" high end boards. They routinely go over $500 for a MAINSTREAM platform motherboard now. You want a ASUS Z690 ROG Hero board? $599 or a ASRock Z690 Taichi? $589 or the MSI Z690 Ace? $599. It's ridiculous, these same category boards were in the $300-$350 range just 2 years ago. It's insulting to be frank. It's just a motherboard after all, it's not a GPU or a CPU. It's basically just an interconnect for all the other parts to communicate with. By and large the performance of your CPU or GPU on a "lower end" board is the same as it is on a "higher end" board.
