I am extremely interested in the 1900X and wonder what its overall performance and its gaming performance. I want to stick to a HEDT (once you start you can't go back ;) ) but I do not really need 12 cores. I game mostly but will be doing some minor content creation. So 6/8 cores is kind of a sweet spot. I mostly want a HEDT for the higher PCIe lane counts which I can definitely and will saturate with add ins. 44 lanes would still limit what I want to do, and 28 on the Intel 7820X is 100% unacceptable. At $549 bucks, I can not beat this. My question will be will infinity fabric be used on this chip?? Will it be a single 8 core unit, or a 4+4 unit where I would still need to play with infinity fabric settings. I hope, its just an 8. I am however, saddened that the 1900X will only boost to 4.0GHz
As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.
