Was anyone affected by this? Target seems to know which 40,000,000 accounts were taken, My mothers and I were fine, But my sisters debit card was one of the ones taken.

Fortunately for her, Chase is also working pretty hard to prevent any fraud and will be sending her a new card (she didn't have to request it). I mean, It happened to Sony, But I didn't really expect Target to get hit, I mean... Why? lol..

I find it funny how they might have to pay $90 for every single card info taken, Lol...

I only have one question to ask companies that have their databases hacked due to lax security measures. So hows the cost cutting measures in your IT department going? Still feel like hiring more H1Bs or outsourcing to other countries? Im not trying to get off topic but i cant help but wonder if its a probable cause. Im very interested in finding out the specifics of this breach since i shop at Target frequently.

I got hit by it. Luckily Chase gave the money that was taken back (70$). Does anyone know how I could contact the main Target office? I did suffer from other fees from other sources because I had to have my debit card number changed...

Do you do online banking? If so, They should have e-mailed you information.

I wish I could have been hit by it, I want the free 1 year of free credit monitoring... Lol!

Yes I do, and I saw the charge (70$) and I already got that settled with chase, what I'm after now is compensation from Target for all the extra fees I incurred from various sources due to having to change my debit card number....

At least Target didn't try to cover up and deny there was anything wrong going on. Yea sorry lost complete and utter faith in Sony's PSN when they pulled THAT stunt. It's also why I am VERY careful with what company I entrust my cc info to permanently now.

The problem is it's not like PSN where you had to store your info, I used to think that the info went right by in-stores as soon as the transaction was over... Target stores your info each time you use it? That's a shame... This wouldn't of happened if what we were told was true.. "Safe and Secure" my ass.
