I was reading this and found this post  {The second picture shows the only true VSA-100 based product the 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB Rev.A0 4699, no one has ever acquired this card yet, the one that comes close to it is the Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB Rev.A1 0900, which is this one:}

I btw own one of this cards. I used to demo cards for 3dfx back in the day. I own a bunch of 3dfx cards that  you cannot find anymore :)

back in 1999 my Dad bought my fisrt PC! i had a sega saturn till then, that i still own and still works!
my first rig was: pentium III 600MHz + voodooo3 3000 agp that later on he changed to a voodoo3 3500 AGP
10GB of HDD + a 21 inch 445X PRO NOKIA crt monitor ( huge beast) with 1600x1200 @60Hz
cannot remember the ram amount so maybe 128MB... or 64MB... dunno
for sound he gave me 4.2 surround system from creative  ( 2 satellites plus 2 subwoofers) along with a sound card  - tipical sound blaster
wireless keyboard and mouse from Logitech back then

in 2002 or 2003 had to change the gfx card and think i went for a ati one... cannot remember model... then all i remember was having since 2007 a awesome GTX 8800GT for a long time ( i still have it but its broken(
then replaced in 2013 it with a  GTX760 sc 2GB still working and safely boxed away.. and now in 2019 bought a GTX1080 Ti!

Lovely build there wiretap

That isn't something you see every day and thanks for posting this in my old 3dfx thread too!
Cooling can be come an issue in such cramped cases and that isn't really advised if using Napalm based graphics cards, you could place mini copper heatsinks on the rear part of the VSA-100's and on the VRAM  just make sure the system has enough airflow to keep them cool, that will add a lot more years to your card's lifespan as well.

Just like one of my x-3dfx members named Declan W. did with their 3dfx Voodoo5 6000 AGP 128MB Rev.A 3700, he gave me permission to post this, so here ya go

Here on the HiNT HB1 SE-66 PCI to PCI bridge chip:

And on the rear side of the four VSA-100 graphics chips (only showing 3 of 4):

Revision & PCB Date Rev.A 3700 ( Final Pre-Production Revision from Week 37 & Year 2000, card has Bios 1.16)

Here the card in the system, my old testing hardware btw ;)

Specs:

AMD AthlonXP 3000+ Barton @ 2167Mhz + 512KB L2 Cache
EPoX EP-8K3A+ VIA Apollo KT333 Chipset, (The best motherboard for all six 3dfx Voodoo5 6000 Revisions)
2x 1GB PC-3200 DDR-400@ DDR-333Mhz
3dfx Voodoo5 6000 AGP 128MB Rev.A 3700 + PCI Rework by Hank Semenec
Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 PCI 64MB XRAM
Lian Li PC-60

it has currently WinXP Pro + SP3
But will get Win2K Pro + SP4 & RU1 for SP4, just the best OS for Voodoo5 6000 ES boards.
the EP-8K3A+ has been fully recapped with server grade capacitors as well

It's just a thing of pure beauty

And yeah I do miss my Voodoo5 6000 at times.

Don't forget about 3DFXGlide API... "Unreal" looked amazing. Great thread!!! I had the 5500 for a bit and then it died.
