Ive never been good with comparing the two camps cards against the other, but i would like to know (DX11 aside) which card offers more performance for gaming.

Im building a second, micro ATX rig for use when my peeps come over and play.  Im keeping fairly low budget.  I have all the acc to make another except for mobo, ram, and cpu.  I actually already have a good 9800 GTX, but for the price on those 5850's I wouldnt mind adding one if the performance was a bit better.

You thoughts on this would be most welcome and appreciated.

Thanks.

The HD5750 and the GTS250 (9800gtx+/9800GTX/8800gts512 - not 8800gts320/640) trade blows with each other, but the HD5750 barely eeks out the gts250.

Not to mention, newer catalyst drivers may improve performance. The G92 core has effectively been maxed out, as is.

    eVGA FTW!

As of right now the 5750 is money better well spent as it has the newest/ latest harware availible in it.

The 5850 would be like two 9800GTX's as it may be more then your looking for but i can tell you it makes no diffrents what platfrom you use as it just has alot of power for it's price range even shown here with a $65 cpu overclocked to 3.87Ghz as the gpu score shows the power of the card at stock speed.

WOW guys!  Thanks for the info and for the benchmark photo!  Looks like it may be time for my first ATI card.  Than micro board sure is gonna look a little funny in my old CM 690.

5750 owns 9800 by far in i think almost everything. but the only thing about it is, that its expensive
