I get no signal on initial startup but if i manually restart it it starts up normally as if nothing is wrong. The card works fine, its just annoying. I was wondering if there is a solution to this and also if there is a reason that while playing left 4 dead 2 that my windows xp clock loses time. thanks

Hi and welcome to the EVGA forums!

Do you mean on initial startup no signal from your monitor? (if so what model monitor are you using)
Have you checked to make sure both monitor and GPU are connected/seated properly?

Also do you mean manual restarting of your PC or monitor?

cant help you on the l4d2 time clock thing. Have you gone into preferences to see if you can change your "Time Zone" to wherever you live?

yes, on initial startup of the computer. the monitor is an Acer X223w.

i have checked that the monitor and gpu are both in correctly.

yes, when i manually restart the computer everything works fine as i am typing this on said computer. its more annoying than anything that i just cant turn my computer on and it work. I've updated everything i could think of and it still does it.

the l4d2 thing is that when i'm done playing and close it, my clock is like 10mins slow.

    thanks for the response

The problem could be that your power supply is failing, so it cannot hold enough charge to get it to boot properly and after a little when you restart it, it then has enough juice.  Also, the time could also be related to that, or your bios battery is dying...

    This is my Setup:

    Motherboard: Asus P5Q3
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 at 2.83 mhz
    RAM: 2 x DDR3 Patriot Viper 1 GB Sticks at 664 mhz
    (7-7-7-20)
Graphics Card: EVGA 9800 GT 512 MB at
    650 Core clock/ 1619 mhz Shader Clock/ 950 mhz mem clock
    PSU: Antec Neopower 550 Watts
    Case: Antec Three Hundred
Hard Drive: Western Digital ? 500gb
