Hi guys. I am hoping someone can help me. I just installed my new e759 and it will not POST. I am getting error code 7F which the manual says means "check POST error and display them and ask for user intervention". I have no idea what that means. I'm guessing there is a problem during POST. But that doesn't really tell me much. I've tried resetting the CMOS and re-seating all of the components and nothing works. I know all of the components work because I just took them out of my e760 which was working fine, and moved them into the e759. Please help, this is driving me crazy. Thanks

I forgot to mention, right as the LED settles on 7F, it beeps 5 times, one long and then 4 short. Hope this helps

7F is basically refering to use intervention by either F1 to continue to get into bios to set it up .... do you have a video Card installed?

Yes the video card is installed. I get no video signal at all though. It cycles through a bunch of codes, does the 5 beeps then settles on 7F.

I tried pressing F1 repeatedly from power on and now I get past the 7F and the error code settles on 25, but still I get the 5 beeps and no video signal. I've also tried the same thing but pressing delete repeatedly and I get the same result only the error code is 3E with no video signal.

Do you get a green LED lit up on your video card?

7f is the error you get when no monitor is plugged in. Make sure your your monitor is plugged in well and screwed in,  I pushed mine in without screwing it down tight and went threw the same headache.

I've tried all of that. I actually tried several different cards that all work fine in other machines. I've tried the different cards in all of the PCI-E slots and the same thing happens no matter what. Although I am getting an error code that ends up flashing between 24 and 25 every time now.

Yes the LED on the card is green. I also tried 3 different DVI cables on 2 different monitors, and I still get the same results.

    Error code 7F
Solution: The worst error code you can get, since its almost always a problem with one of the pieces of hardware you've plugged into the motherboard. Most common causes are:

    1. GPU is not securely placed into the PCI-E slot. Reseat the GPU and ensure it has external power if required.
    2. Memory isn't securely placed, try reseating it. Alternatively the memory might not play ball.
    3. PSU insufficient, ensure the PSU you have is branded and has sufficient output on each rail for the components you have installed. Its easy to overload one rail a little too much on some PSUs.
    4. Connection loose somewhere - reseat everything to make sure its all secure.

That's the generic trouble shoot suggestions for the code. Sounds like you did most of those.

Is this a new board or has the board been used in another setup before? It almost sounds like the bios isn't resetting completely, if you haven't tried remove unplug the power supply for 15 mins and remove the cmos battery also. This will make sure the cmos is really clear.

Well I just got done rebuilding the system completely. I am getting the same results as before but now with error code 22, which the manual says is reserved. Not sure what to make of that.

The board is new to me, but I bought it from another member here. He said he had no problems with it before shipping it to me. I will try removing the battery and PSU for 15 minutes like you suggest. But if that doesn't work I am going to put all of the components back in my old board and if that works like it always has I guess it will be time for an RMA.

The board might be grounding did you try booting it outside of the case to see if that fixes the problem

    22 isn't a code that's the CPU's temperature. Unless I'm going nuts

Now its going back and forth between 53 and 68. I'm going to build the system with my old board again and see what happens. Thanks for all the advice guys

    Sure it's not 6B?

That's a memory error does the manual say what 68 is?

Yeah its definitely 68 and the manual just says "reserved".

So I took apart the system and put everything back into my e760 and its working perfectly so I know all of the components are fine. I'm actually typing this from it right now. I guess something happened to the board in shipping

Try ditching the logitech illuminated keyboard.   I was getting the same type of issue and it seem to be the keyboard.   I couldnt get it to work with my evga motherboard.   From what I see online logitech says its the motherboard manufacturer problem and evga has said its logitech's problem.
