780 Ti Backplate Question

This should be answered pretty quickly and decisively here, so here it goes (I think I know the answer however, me and my co-worker have reservations)

It has to do with these two products
PNY 780 Ti (VCGGTX780T3XPB) and the EVGA 780 Ti Backplate (100-BP-2881-B9)

Is the EVGA backplate compatible with the PNY?
(Seeing as how PNY doesn't make backplates as far as I can tell)

    Addition: I've seen the EK Backplates, which are not half as nice, but it looks like the holes line up the same
    Anybody put an EVGA backplate on their 780 Ti that wasn't EVGA?

    Wouldn't see why they wouldn't be compatible. Should both be reference type board, so screw locations should be in the same locations.

    That's what I'm thinking too
    I just need to find one as they all seem to be sold out 24/7
