Just asking for a friend whos a owner of a reference 660 Ti. now my question is: 1) will there be a 660 Ti backplate available for purchase? if so when? 2) will the 670 backplate fit a 660 Ti without hitting the ICs and what not? I notice there are some differences, that is why im asking, here's a picture of both for reference.

thanks for your response staypuft, and yeah i know about the ftw models with 670ftw or 680 ref backplates, as they are all 680 ref PCBs.
reason why i ask is cuz the 660 Ti's mem controller is different and there is a slight modification to the 670 ref PCB for use with the 660 Ti, and there is slight differences also on the backplate. the screws will align properly, but not sure if the IC's and resisters will clear.

I modified my response above after looking at the PCB's on newegg... PM Jacob to see if they will release a 660Ti backplate, best bet.

 quick question tho, any reason for the difference with the standalone backplate then the backplate that comes with the card (as pictured above)?

According to EVGA, they no-longer carry them. Tho I'm not sure WHY... they still carrying the nVidia 275's.. which make absolutely no sense.. Your Answer:Hi,
