Thank you doorules. Over 15,50 Isus!
I think it's better on powerfull system on 3-4 year than weaker
on 2-2.5.
What 980X, 3960X,.... can hold so long...and have more than 4 cores. With excellent motherboard... perfect...
Special if you choose soon after launch...

hmmm, I don't remember if I posted my 3770K @ 5.GHz over here ... need to deserve the right to hold on to my sweet badge!

will be back after work with some screen shot.

which version of LinX are we using nowadays, still 0.6.4? with some updated linpack or something?
I usually use Cinebench and IBT 2.54, haven't used LinX in a while, can anybody provide a good download link for it?
EDIT: is anybody updating this thread any longer? been a while since I saw IstBar online ...

I could be wrong, but I think this is the latest.  http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/LinX-benchmark.shtml

thanks. that one looked old too, so I used the one from the source (same old probably):
http://www.xtremesystems....mple-Linpack-interface

tried running LinX at my borderline stable 5.1GHz, but no go, getting all kinds of BSOD under memory load, not sure why. always had trouble with it. posted 5.0GHz instead

I dont think this thread is even being updated anymore. Or is it. I thought someone created a new one because this one died out.

I am Sorry for the lack of updates, for a while i had something else on my mind.. The thread will be up to date from now on again..

I've seen a couple of good overclocks, and i skipped the people i was unsure of and people who didn't include linx in their picture

one guy used prime, but since i wasn't able to see how long the test was run i didn't add him ..

but thread should be updated now, if i missed you, PM me :)

again, sorry for my sudden disappearance..

You need to run some kind of benchmark (Linx would be prefered).. :)..

You don't fulfill the other requirement of having some kind of note on your desktop with name..
Look here.. http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1068719
Looking forward to you joining our group! :)

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6795820

I can run 3dmark at 5.2 ghz with no problems at all
But i can't run linx for 15 min at 5.2 without problems ..

3Dmark doesn't utilize your CPU for more than max a min in the CPU bench since it's a Graphic card benchmark..

Just follow the rules .. it's only 15 min ..

How about Intel Burn test or Prime95? I have those results? Saying 3Dmark11 is a graphic bench only is the silliest thing I've heard today!

How about Intel Burn test or Prime95? I have those results? Saying 3Dmark11 is a graphic bench only is the silliest thing I've heard today!

It focuses on Graphics..
But either way, this is not an argument..

Intel burn test is pretty much the same thing as Linx ..
They both use Linpack..

Prime will also do :)..

Remember to include notepad with name in the screenshot..

So let's say I buy the AMD 9590 CPU, would that be allowed or turbo doesn't count?

I guess i couldn't stop you from joining as long as the rules are followed :)

The problem is though ,that while we have to overclock our CPU's (intels) from ~3-4 ghz to 5 (over 1 ghz), the AMD 9590 is at 5 ghz stock clock speeds..

I don't know what everybody else thinks?, because i didn't think we were that close to 5 ghz stock speeds when i created the thread.. even though i think some people use Turbo to reach 5 ghz, it's allowed since it technically is running at 5 ghz, though for shorter times..
