I read that you have to go into your bios and disable CSM.

Your manual should have it. If you don’t have the manual, maybe try mobo website.

This happened on my 3090 ..disabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module) stopped the beeps. I'm not sure where it is in your bios tho.

Make a clean new installation in UEFI mode and turn off CSM. Then there are no more problems.

If you had CSM enabled when you installed Windows, it may not have installed the proper UEFI drivers and/or did not format the hard drive correctly for UEFI, most likely culprit. I would disable CSM and reinstall Windows, easiest solution.

No issue with letting it continue to beep. I'm not sure why Nvidia made the 30 series cards beep on boot with CSM enabled. My 3090 FTW3 does it as well, and I'm not having any issue with it.

I don't think the beeping is any issue, BUT you can sometimes squeeze more performance out with Windows in UEFI mode, especially boot times and sometimes better gaming performance. First I would check and see if your HDD is formatted GPT, if it IS then set Windows to boot into SAFE mode on the next boot using MSCONFIG. Reboot into BIOS, disable CSM, THEN let it boot into SAFE mode that SHOULD automatically install the needed UEFI components for Windows ( in the background, you won't see anything happening). Then reboot into BIOS again, and disable CSM, and you should be good to go.

Not sure what you mean by "preliminary phase", where is it stopping and what's happening? Are you getting an error, or is it just failing to progress? What step are you stuck at? EDIT: Also, are you using the most recent Windows Build and do you have the newest BIOS on your motherboard?

No error, just no progress at preliminary phase (I think the last of windows installation). Windows 10 is downloaded into USB key from the site should be latest version but Don t know bios version

Also, you said "transform your hard drive to GPT", how? If it was not erased and you had Secure Boot enabled that can cause issues, DISABLE secure boot in BIOS. If you can load windows setup at all from the USB, Presse SHIFT+F10 to get a command prompt, then run DISKPART. In DISKPART type in LIST DISK and find out the disk number for your SSD. Then type SELECT DISK 1 (or whatever the correct disk # is for your main boot drive) Then type CLEAN, and it will totally wipe the drive. After that, with CSM DISABLED, just install Windows and select your SSD. Windows will automatically install in UEFI mode with CSM disabled, and you're good to go. Lastly, UNPLUG EVERYTHING except your keyboard, mouse and monitor when you attempt to INSTALL windows, if it still hangs during install.

Hold up, if you think it might be a key issue, SKIP IT when you try to install! Click "I do not have a product key" then select the version you have (Windows 10 Home or Pro) and you can bypass entering a key. If you log into Windows with your Microsoft Account, once it's is installed, activation will happen when you log in. If you use a local account, you can activate manually after you install it. If you have to activate manually, and it fails, assuming you own a valid key....you can call MS and tell them you have a new video card and it won't activate.

I wish Nvidia would figure out why this is happening in the first place. I've never heard of installing a video card causing issues like this. Is it because with CSM on the bios is seeing the GPU as a bootable device then realizes its not so beeps 4 times then boots normally off of your HDD. There are people online that just ignore it and say their PCs work fine other than the 4 beeps. I also wonder how many people don't even hear the beeps because they don't hook up a case speaker to their MB. I haven't used a case speaker in like 5 builds. I mean with QLEDS and Post LEDs built into MBs whats the point. When this first started happening some of the threads I read online people were telling people to switch PSUs and memory. I mean what a headache for the end user. I guess Nvidia didn't have one case of this in their testing. Its happening with a bunch of different brand cards so this is definitely on Nvidia. Well I hope you get your PC working again what a bummer to buy a shiny new toy and have to deal with this nonsense.

I don't have a 3080 yet, and I always use UEFI anyway. It may be like I said, the card will perform BETTER under UEFI and that is a warning beep only. I have tested using CSM with my old motherboard, an Asus z390 Maximus Hero, and with UEFI (CSM DISABLED) I got MUCH better performance out of the GTX 1070 I owned at the time. The machine also booted MUCH faster. Unless you have some legacy hardware that NEEDS CSM, UEFI should always be the way to go.

It was working. The beeps do not cause a performance issue. They are intentional a warning. The issue is in not disabling CSM. By now this should be disabled on every new motherboard by default and only enabled by the user who needs it for backwards compatibility. I've not used it in probably a decade.
