Hey, if anyone can maybe make any insightful suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Ok so I bought a  Vizio Full 3d HD TV  model XVT3D424SV, and a mini hdmi to hdmi 1.4 cable for my pc. My PC's Video card is a evga geforce 460gtx SC.

I'm Currently using 260.99 Drivers with the 3d support e_1.0.0.10 update for my tv.

Now when i setup threw the 3d wizard everything goes just fine and dandy with no problems. My tv even detects that the video card is trying to display the image in 3d.

the problem im having its not coming in as 3d. The screen is coming in distorted and not coming in as 3d.  Now the only thing that seems to come in as 3d, is the 3d test screen,  everything else is just not working.

Here are things that I tried so far to try to get it to work.

I tried disabling the HDTV Audio, but when I do that it makes my screen go blank to a unsupported resolution for some reason so i can't disable it.

I tried reinstalling the drivers about like 20times, like in safe mode.. not in safemode, using CCleaner and Driver Sweeper to delete the left over registry settings.

I Tried older drivers they didn't work at all.

I tried getting my display to refresh at 120hz because im under the assumption that a 3d tv in order to work has to display at 120hz to make 3d not give you headaces, but i only can get it  to refesh at 60hz or 24hz at 720p or 1080p.

I tried using different dvi cables, duel link, non duel link to hdmi cables, they didnt work, either with 3d.

I tried moving my video card to another pci-e slot, that didn't help.

I called vizio they don't know anything, at least there not outsourced tho....

I don't have anything to test it with like a 3d blueray player or a ps3, so im out of ideas to see whos to blame for why its not working.

If anyone has any suggestions I didn't think of please drop a line

Here's my PC specs just in case you want to know.

Intel Core 2 qx6850
Geforce 460 GTX 768mb SC edition
Nforce EVGA 780i Mobo
1100watt PSU thermaltake
8gig ddr2 1066mhz  paitiot memory
2x westerndigitals raid=0 160gig
2x samsung spinpoints raid 0 = 1TB
x-fi plat sound card
Sony DVD Burner

Thanks for your time!

quick update

I just Found driver 263.00 whql, they don't work either ><

Also I forgot  to mention I don't get the stereo 3d Ready logo in my control panel like it suppose to.

I have no experience with 3DTV Play, but there is a section devoted to it (and alot of other things) over at NVIDIA FAQ/Answers  that might be helpful.

Ive been reading around, and im kinda getting abit confused with how 3dtv play works.

Do i need to buy a 3d vision kit to make 3dtv play to work?,  I thought that was for 3d vision which used those older DLP TV's or 120hz  monitors...

I thought 3dplay uses the glasses that come with TV, and not the nvidia Emitter and glasses..

Nvidia's website Quotes "3DTV Play™ software requires a compatible GeForce GPU, a 3D Vision kit, Microsoft® Windows® 7, and a compatible 3D TV. Please view the 3DTV Play™ system requirements for more details."

    and than it quotes

"NOTE:When using 3DTV Play™ software to connect to a 3D TV, 3D Vision active shutter glasses are not used. Instead the 3D TV manufacturer's 3D glasses are used"

so im guessing you still need the nvidia emitter? that doesnt make sense to me because the vizio 3d glasses use Bluetooth to communicate with the tv... why would I need the kit if im not using anything in the kit....

Also im assuming that 3dplay is built in with my graphics card driver, if im wrong about this and need to download something else i cant seem to find the download for it.

I feel kinda stupid right now, can someone clarify this with me im so confused now.

From what I'm gathering at NVIDIA some other sites (and I may be be wrong in my interpretation of it all or missed something) is that if you already have a 3DPC (which comes with the software, emitter, glasses, etc.) or you have bought the 3D Vision Kit seperately, then you don't need anything except the driver update(s) that are free and included in the 260.89 WHQL and newer driver packages..If you do not have a 3DPC/3D Vision Kit, NVIDIA was supposed to release the 3DTV software only (so you can use it for 3DTV without buying the whole $200 NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit) in Q4 of this year (specifically, November)..As of yet, I don't think NVIDIA has released it like they were supposed to that I know of..But many speculate that since it's so close to Christmas, NVIDIA will pull one of their "marketing strategy" tricks (yet again) and wait 'till after the first of the year, so they can sell off as many 3D Vision Kits as possible over the holidays before releasing the software, to maximize profit (imagine)..Go to the NVIDIA Forum and search 3DTV or 3D Vision and you'll find alot of "caustic" attitudes about it there..Also the following links..That's the best I've come up with for ya.

I just bought my 3dtv play software.
I will try it later and will post here if it works or not.

My connection is via GTX 480 (mini HDMI-to-HDMI) to my 47LX9500 LG 3D LED TV.
I tried watching Bluray 3D without 3DTV Play and it works.
The only reason I bought 3DTV Play is to play games in 3D since I don't have 3DVision.

hey yall, 3Dplay is out now!

just bought it today ok so here is my take on it and im still having issues.

    1. every time i restart my computer, I have to install 3dplay for it to work.

    2. in 3d games "been using batman Arkham Asylum since its 3d vision ready as a test bed." i have to decrease the 3d depth to all the way to the minimum to not get double images all over my screen, its still 3d but its depth is very shallow and kind of defeats the point in wearing these glasses lol.

im going to try these beta drivers 266.35 and see if they make a difference, ill be back with an update.

ok so the beta driver 266.35 fixed the 3dplay problem were i had to reinstall it every time i rebooted my pc.

now the problem im having is that if I put 3D Depth past 5% im getting this ghost images around my objects,  I was playing batman at 50% 3d depth and it looks 3d, but if I put the adjust the convergence it doesn't look too bad at certain focus points on the screen, but im still getting this ghost image around everything if its past the focus point or before it if i adjust the convergence.

now im all new too this 3d TV stuff but Ive seen 3d TV's at retail stores and play on 3d Vision laptops and they don't seem to be doing this, so im kinda at a loss why im having this issue.

I dunno to blame the TV or the Software now, I have nothing else to test 3d with atm, ill have to borrow a ps3 or something from a  friend 1 of these days.

well apparently, im getting a high amount of crosstalk/ghosting with my 3d tv, so im thinking its not the 3dplay software.

Its due to the glasses and TV not refreshing together correctly from what i can tell, tho there's absolutely no help at all on Vizio's side of things or online that I can find about this.

And there's like no options on the TV for me to play with so im guessing im stuck with it for now.
