I have received my 3090 FTW3 Ulltra today and noticed that the default fan curve for normal bios is 1000rpm for all 3 fans and not 0db mode.
Checking fan speed with HWinfo64:

Fan curve can be adjusted through PX1 but I expected it to run at 0db out of the box.
I would prefer not to have PX1 running in the background and launching at startup while still having 0db mode on normal BIOS.

Hope somebody can help.

Make sure that the OC / Normal VBIOS switch is firmly in the Normal side (flip it back and forth to make sure- then reboot). It might have been bumped and is in OC mode but looks like it's in normal mode.

I checked twice - selector is 100% in correct position.

    EDIT:

To quote the ICX3 page: "EVGA’s iCX3 fans turn off below 55°C, generating 0dB of noise."

PX1 shows the temps to be ~30C and fan speed locked at 1000rpm when everything is set to default:

33% is the OC mode setting. Perhaps they flashed the OC VBIOS for the normal side, and the normal to the OC. Flip it, reboot, and try it.

If not, you can always contact EVGA and ask for the VBIOS flash. Or do it yourself with the original VBIOS listed here: https://forums.evga.com/E...IOS-BETA-m3124192.aspx
