EDIT: I RMA'd it through the Support Number. I love EVGA Customer Service, they were great.

I’m in the same boat with the red light, what’s the eta with RMA in getting you a new card and are you forced to wait for them to receive your current card before they ship you a new one?

Thanks for the info.  I called support and initiated a RMA which seemed pretty painless.  Just more waiting time and hopes that I don't lose the silicon lottery 2x. 

It was funny it try to find out whats the solution for an card thats 1 weeks old (RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming) an well is stop working as yours. I am not alone ^^ i do not overclock my card at this time and think that was not the issues ^^ i now waits for the RMA approval. I hope i doesn't get issues with the card again. Before the card working properly the game (mafia 1 definitive) is stutter and cry for more Performance. I've got 15 fps before the card is crashed forever. I Was hope to get an solution to fix it by myself...


Edit: I couldn't fix this issue by myself and has starting the RMA process. I have to tried out something but the card doesn't work in any of my 4 PCs. I also tried 3 PSU's (evga 850Watt, Tagan 1150 Watt and Lepa with 1600 Watts) with different 8 PIN Plugs. I has plugged 3 seperate cables from psu without any daisy chaining. All of my cards (Titan Black, GTX 1080 and RTX 2080Ti) are working in any of the machines so the only Thing that stopped working is the flagship RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming in newest Version with Black rubbers on the sides. I hope i get the replacement in short. That was frustrating and also with the price. The 3 fans are also stopped running after the red light of death

Maybe you have locked your fps in game. I have strong OCed 2080 Ti but in any game i've got minimum of 50% + FPS with the 3090 before it's died. For the 3090 i used 10980XE. For the 2080Ti i owned 9900K with 5.1 GHz on All cores. But the Thing is that the 10980XE and the 3090 running only at stock clocks. The machine is fast enough all games running like hell. 90 FPS in Far Cry New Dawn? Maybe on Vsync on and limited the setting to 90 FPS. I'm not an fan from far cry games bit for sure the 3090 will be run 50% faster as my 2080Ti . But maybe the game doesn't need many ressources i think. Did you try Cyberpunk 2077 with the two Psycho and anything other in ultra and in 4k and try with same settings with your 2080Ti? I'm for sire you will see big difference. I paid 2200 Euros for this card with 10 years warranty then i sas shocked for about 10 minutes as i registered the card is end of Life ^^

I'm for sure that was Nvidia fault in the GPU or maybe to many heat. It's difficult to say but i has smell on my card after the crash an she's smells good for sure. It's the smell that should have New cards or when it's smell like grillparty the card should be burned :) no joke that is so. I don't know for what the light is but fore sure nothing what is good for the card.

I still waiting for the replacement or further Information about it. Maybe them have realized that many 3090 cards are stopped working and this was really hard for evga too.

I hope them will find out quick whats the reason why these cards falls out.
