Been waiting for one of these to come available but its pushed my case choices into limbo again. Id really like to mount it to the rear but not many cases will take a 240 rad there. I have a o-11 evo in my cart but now i am rethinking things.. I also was loking at the 1000D but while it looks like i could mount it there, the bloody thing is massive and i dont want to go broke filling it with rgb fans. any other recommendations? I have a feeling i will need to mount it either on the side of the o-11 which i guess could work, or grab that house they call a computer case.

I'm not sure whether I am going to mount a hybrid cooler on my 3080Ti FTW Ultra. Even running MSFS2020, which does a major job heating up the GPU, it tops out @ 75C @ 50% fan speed. It's as quiet as the hybrid I had on my 1080Ti. 75C temps are fine. Same boat as you, what would I replace my modified Corsair 780T (dual 200mm intake fans) with?

I would personally recommend the O11 XL. It is larger than the evo, I think the evo is just a tad bit larger than the original dynamic but still similar in size (don't quote me on that). However, the XL is the largest of the cases. It fits my hybrid pretty well. I have both of my hybrid and cpu set as an exhaust, and I installed a custom front panel for intake. My bottom fans are intake as well. I would personally buy the XL over the evo for the size alone, but to each its own preference! Below is how my set up currently looks. My apologies for just posting the links as I do not know how to post a picture on here! (when I try to post an image, nothing shows up) https://imgur.com/a/ZeVCpowhttps://imgur.com/a/NgE1OvF

i was looking at the XL as well but I think it still will only take 1 120mm fan in the back so a 240 rad there wont work

What do you mean by 1 120mm fan in the back? Most cases if not all common cases only take 1 120mm fan at the rear of the case for exhaust.

Oh I see. That is pretty slick!! :) Yeah, I have mine set as exhaust on top, and my aio is set as exhaust on the side as you can see in my picture. So it still works out for my set-up. I did buy custom front panel for more intake. That 1000D case looks pretty huge and similar in design to the way I have it currently, I will research about it tonight! I just don't like that PSU shroud in the middle, I like the lian li for its emptiness but that case looks really SLICK!! EDIT: quick look, dang this case is expensive! lol

Check out the case in my sig. I’m running a 360 AIO in the front and a Kingpin AIO on the top with one exhaust fan in the back. GPU temps stay under 55 under heavy load.

5000D with 280AIO in the top, GPU radiator in the side. Any particular reason for wanting the radiator in the back?

I would grab a case you're happy with it whether it be by design or what have you as long as you can install a 240mm rad at the front and or top. Having the heat dump into the case shouldn't be a big issue as long as you have other intake fans mixing in fresh intake air flow as it makes it's way to the exhaust ends of the case (rear/top). Just make sure there is cable management to allow the airflow to move freely and your room ambient temps aren't too high. I personally like Corsair cases but there are other mfgers that make great cases as well.

I love the Lian-Li O11 XL, but you are correct...just one 120mm fan. A 240 rad will NOT work there. I've seen a friend do a 360 rad on the top (push - pull exhaust) and a 360 rad on the front (push - pull intake) with a bottom intake (3 x 120). Seemed to work well, but it is not exactly what you are seeking to do. For what it's worth, I prefer to have my case be slightly "positive pressure" to help prevent air (and dust) from sneaking in through areas other than where the dust cover/fans are...I prefer to know where I have to spend the balance of my time cleaning (while having to clean everywhere...who are we kidding).

I think you're on the right track with going for exhaust with both rads. I did a lot of adjustments with my case to make that work for the 3080ti hybrid and it was worth it. That GPU rad as intake was great for gpu Temps, but it was cooking my cpu (and everything else in the case lol). If you check the link in my sig, you can see what I did. I think either the o11 XL, 5000D, or 7000X with both rads exhausting (side and top), with plenty of fresh intake air front/bottom will do you well.

I almost pulled the trigger on the o-11 then saw the Z690 Dark may be a tad large and stick over the edge and that is where the power connectors are, not sure if that would be an issue.. more research is needed

i am really leaning to the 011 evo.. always wanted a lian li.. and tbh, i dont want to have to buy a bunch of cable extenders to use in the 1000d either. think i can mount the 360 on the top then the hybrid on the side with a 3rd fan.

If you can, tubes from the rad pointing towards the ground (not at the top). Not sure if it will need to be the bottom two 120s or could be the top two, but bottom two will look better.

Not sure if you are planning on doing a push/pull on the hybrid. But I really did find it helps with reducing temperatures. Also I'm not sure if you are planning on installing front fans for the evo. However, with all of that, keep in mind that if you don't install front panel fans for intake, then I'm assuming you'll use the hybrid rad on the side as intake. I would recommend against that only because the GPU will pump hot air into your system. I suggest you mount the gpu on top as exhaust and cpu rad on the side as intake because the air coming out of the cpu rad will be cooler than the gpu. If you decide to have them both as exhausts, then you'll want the front as intake. Just be aware that the push/pull combo might take space from the front fans. Lastly, I'm not sure if the inside space of the case is smaller in the evo than the XL, but if the space inside is the same as the original dynamic, then your aio tubes will have a tight fit and much more bending with you trying to close the side window than with the XL. Just a few thoughts before you make a decision.

Mid cases are starting to grow on me being used to having large to supersize cases (900D). I just don't enjoy carrying the load around when it's time to move it for whatever reason.
